Rose hung her coat on the hook and left her wet shoes at the door. The cold soaked into her bones and now it was raining! She hated the cold, damp mid-February weather. She could murder a cuppa. She expected to see the flat in disarray and was pleasantly surprised that it was not. And that smell from the kitchen was heavenly! She entered the dining room to see the table set, two gorgeous salads, and two glasses of sparkling apple juice. Her husband embraced her from behind, hands resting on her swollen abdomen, and said, "Happy Valentines' Day, Love."
