I think this is one of those moments they say turn a boy into a man. Staring your soon to father-in-law in the eye after you announced the marriage proposal to his eldest daughter. Tori's mother was beaming at the thought, her baby sister seemed to be enjoying the fact that Tori will be finally moving out of the house and there was "dear old dad". Tori said he took it well, but I don't call getting a glare that would awaken demons of the worst kind form the pits of hell to kill whomever it fell about, taking it well.
Then Mr. Hanson instigated his get rid of want to be son-in-law plan:
Stage 1: Get women out of the room "Honey, will dinner be ready soon?" He asked his wife. I couldn't stop the sigh that escaped, when one by one the women left the room and I couldn't help but think, "Like he cared about the damn lasagna."
Stage 2: Once women are out of the room, scare the boyfriend shitless.He smiled at me for the first time for the night. "Blake. You love my daughter correct?"
"Of course I do. I would never do anything to hurt her." Except that one time when I was brainwashed but…..otherwise never.
He nodded approvingly, "Just so we are both on the same page, Blake. If at any point I find out that you have ever, at any point, made my baby cry anything other than tears of joy. I will call all four of her uncles and we will murder you in cold blood. We will find you at anytime of day, in any country. I think you get my drift."
I Blake Bradley am now officially scared shitless.
Stage 3: If he passes the above to stages. Welcome him to the family. Not well: Even though you're welcoming him to the family you have to pretend that you don't like him, even if you do, at least until he gives you your first grandson.
"Dad, you better not be threatening my future husband." Tori said as she approched.
"Yea, dad. I need her out of hear as soon as possible. I hope you two aren't planning a lengthy engagement. Cause I got some renovations to do." I looked up at her and knew that being threatened with cold blooded murder is well worth the cost. I'm a highly trained ninja I can take a civilian. I took a seat next to Tori at the dinner table at took one look at Tori's dad and realized I didn't have a chance.
