My name is Star. My real name will remain confidential, for now. I don't really know why I'm writing this letter; maybe because I see all my friends writing letters to their loved ones, or maybe because I have high hopes for this letter... someone may find it and read it, and they would actually care that I grew up on the street. Maybe some caring person would make a small effort to give me a home. I never liked living alone without a roof. That's kind of the reason I came to camp. We don't always have a roof, but I'm not alone anymore, and to me, that's what counts.
To whoever reads this postcard, don't feel sorry for me, just be happy that for now, I've found my family.Star
