PROLOGUE
Mah name is Samuel Guthrie also known as Cannonball and I am the headmaster of Xavier's School For Gifted Youngsters in Snow Valley, Massachusetts. Maybe I should explain what has happened in the past twenty years first. It was around twenty years ago that Valerie Cooper became President of the United States of America and the Mutant Rights act came into being. During the next five years most of the X-Men lead normal lives, still living at the Xavier Institute most of them got married and had children. It was then everything started to go wrong. On her second election campaign President Cooper was shot dead by Graydon Creed who had been resurrected by his lover Afterlife. Sabretooth and Mystique were President Cooper's best friends and on hearing their own son has killed her... well... lets just say that Graydon didn't live long enough to enjoy his resurrection. It wasn't long after that when Banshee, The White Queen, Forge and Feral went on a mission to save Monet from Mr Sinister and never came back. Strangely M showed up soon after that with no memories of where she had been. It was then left to Jubilee to take over the school and after leaving X-Force I decided to help her. The third headmaster was quite a surprise. Nate Grey a.k.a X-Man turned up physically, emotionally and psychically drained after we helped him to recovery he became the third headmaster. Jono and Paige left to go and live in Kentucky but make regular visits to the academy.
The X-Men may have their strongest line up ever which includes people from all of the previous X-Teams. This is Beast as leader, M as second-in-command and a line up of Gambit, Rogue, Wolverine, Storm, Warpath, Shadowcat, Nightcrawler, Daytripper, Polaris, Iceman, Firestar, Bishop, Psylocke, Synch and Siryn. Scott and Jean retired to a home in Westchester ready to help the X-Men when in need of them. As for the other mutants that did not retire, they formed other X-Teams like X-Tremists, X-Cell and Team X. And that, pretty much, takes us up to the present day where Me, Jubilee and Nate have taken the children of the X-Men and teach them how to use their powers to defend mankind... and themselves.
