Kallen winced as she felt that pair of smooth, cold hands gently slide up her bare back.

"Kallen..." whispered a voice from behind her; it was in a sweet and gentle tone, as if speaking to a little child or a frightened puppy. Glancing over the side of the bed, Kallen stared at the pile of clothes and lingerie that had gathered on the floor. The fresh smell of hot pizza still lingered in the air.

Swallowing her saliva, Kallen asked, "C.C...do you...really love me?"

For a second, there was no response.

"...C.C.?"

"...Why would you as something like that?" Finally, a response. She sounded sad and hurt, somewhat confused.

"I...I..." Kallen wasn't sure what to say.

"Do you think that I don't love you? Is that what you think about me...?" C.C.'s voice was growing louder.

Kallen shook her head. "No...no, I...I know that you love me...well, it's just...I mean, you and Lelouch..."

A soft chuckle escaped C.C.'s lips. "Oh, Kallen...stop getting so worried over ridiculous little things like that...it's so unlike you..."

Kallen closed her eyes. "But...but you and Lelouch...you two had sex once, right? I'm worried you'll leave me...go back to him..."

C.C. rested the side of her face against Kallen's back. "Yes...we did have sex...but just because I had been in bed with a man in the past doesn't mean anything about our current relationship..."

"C.C..."

"Kallen...I love you...I really do...don't you understand that?"

Kallen nodded, and she tried to hold in her tears. "Yes...I understand completely..."

Then, C.C. gently moved herself to be beside Kallen, and kissed her softly on the lips. Kallen could still taste the mild flavor of pizza sauce on the green-haired girl's lips.

'C.C...I love you...I love you so goddamn much...' Kallen let the tears fall this time, and C.C. just strengthened the passion she was putting into her kisses. As they continued to kiss, C.C. ran her fingers down Kallen's waist, over her thigh, and near her clit. Suddenly, C.C. realized something.

"We're gonna need some more pizza first..."
