Another Thomas rewrite, this time it's "Salty's Stormy Tale" from Season 7. Enjoy and comment.
One day, Thomas and Percy were helping Salty at the docks.
However, Salty was worried.
"It might be sunny now, but a storm is coming!"
Thomas and Percy began impersonating Salty.
This made Salty sad.
Later, Sir Topham Hatt arrived.
"I want you to collect Fergus from the smelter's yard." he said. "His driver doesn't know the line."
"Aye aye sir!" replied Salty.
Salty was glad he was going to the smelters. He didn't want to be teased anymore.
Then, Emily puffed in.
"What's wrong?" asked Emily.
"It's not fun being made fun of by tank-engines." sighed Salty as he huffed away.
Emily knew she had to find Thomas and Percy immediately.
When she did, they were still making fun of Salty.
"Clouds are a'coming!" said Thomas.
"A storm is a'coming!" said Percy.
Emily was cross.
"It's not nice to impersonate someone! You hurt Salty's feelings!"
"We were just having fun!" protested Percy.
"We'll apologize to him." said Thomas.
But Salty was nowhere to be found.
Thomas and Percy were worried,
Fergus was waiting for Salty at the smelters.
"Right on time!" exclaimed Fergus.
"A storm is a'coming!" said Salty. "We must hurry."
Soon, they were coupled off and set off towards home.
Salty was right about the storm. It was a fierce one.
Ships at sea depend on the lighthouse to keep them safe.
But soon, there was trouble. The lighthouse stopped working.
"Oh no!" cried the captain. "The light has gone out!"
Meanwhile, Salty and Fergus were fighting their way through the rain.
Then, Salty saw a lantern up ahead.
The lighthouse keeper was waiting.
"The lighthouse lamp has gone out!"
Then, Salty had an idea.
"Fergus has an extra lamp! It might work and power the generator!
"Hurry!" shouted the lighthouse keeper.
Soon, the light was attached to the generator.
Without the lamp, the ship was heading right towards the lighthouse!
Fergus worked as fast as he could, and soon the generator was back on!
The lighthouse shone once more!
Salty had saved the day!
The next morning, a crowd of people were waiting at the docks for Salty.
"Thank you!" said the captain. "You've saved our ship."
"Well done!" boomed Sir Topham Hatt.
Salty was very proud.
Then, Thomas and Percy puffed up.
"We're sorry for impersonating you." said Thomas.
"We were only copying you because you're grand!" said Percy.
They were pleased to work together, as good friends should.
