Chapter One: The Thoughts of The Mind Finn sat in his bed, thinking about all of the silly mistakes he's made over the years. Up until his recent mess-up, which had caused the Ice Kingdom to melt and losing his girlfriend, Flame Princess, he had thought he was past his bad luck. Guess he was wrong. Outside the Tree house, the weather had matched his depressing mood; it was raining deadly daggers, and had bursts strong gusts of wind. The daggers were hitting the roof with small thuds and clanks. Unfortunately, this had prevented Finn from going outside to find an adventure to distract him and relieve the pain in his mind and soul.
As he was lying there, Finn realized that he really needed to apologize and regain the sense of an empty mind, void of painful thoughts and memories. Finn decided that tomorrow he will visit the Ice King, seeing that the Ice King had felt more pain than anyone else, just from him.
"I should really take the time to become friends," he said, thinking of the time when Ice King paralyzed both Jake and him using a potion, only to try to be friends.
"Although he kidnaps princesses, he really isn't such a bad guy. He just needs some company or friends," he thought. Maybe he could even regain his mind over the crown with the help of some friends.
"Yeah! Oh, man is Marceline going to be happy to hear this!" Finn exclaims, hopping up. But, the sudden urge to sleep pulled Finn back down to rest his head on his pillow.
"May-maybe… in the morning…" he yawns, and then falls asleep.
Finn awoke to the bright sunshine hitting his eyelids. He gets up and stretches, then smells the heavy scent of bacon pancakes in the air. He then climbs down the ladder and walks into the kitchen. At the stove was a yellow dog, or Finn's brother.
"Hey, Jake! Bacon pancakes, bro!" Finn's stomach growls in anticipation just looking at the deliciously prepared breakfast. Finn sat down at the table, waiting for the food to be done. Just after he sat down, the gaming console BMO, rushed in with a digital smile on his little screened face.
"Hey BMO! Why so happy?" Finn asks. As far as he knew, it wasn't anyone's birthday, nor were there any events that happened that could put his little friend in such a great mood. Well, as far as he knows that is. The small MO just giggled at his comment, not answering his question. "I really wonder… usually he shares his stories and adventures (when he has one)," I think.
"Yeah BMO, shares the secret with Jakey," Jake tells BMO as he puts down the plates with pancakes. I dig into the delicacy, cherishing every single bite I took. Although, it probably looked like he was trying to choke himself with the amount of pancakes he shoved down his throat.
"Man, Jake, I don't think I tell you this enough, but these pancakes are, like, the best food I have ever had. I think you probably have the best cooking in all of Ooo," I compliment the magical dog. All of the sudden, his cell phone started ringing, causing him to start choking. He starts coughing reaching for his drink of O.J., slugging the refreshing beverage down his throat while Jake picks up the phone.
"Yes… yes Finn is with me… oh jeez! That sounds bad! Are you sure that I can't help… Yes I understand. He will be right over." Jake ends the call.
"Jake, who was that?" I ask him after I regain my voice.
"It was Princess Bubblegum. You need to get right over to the Candy Kingdom right now! The Lich is attacking, and the Gumball Guardians can only handle him for a few minutes!" he yells at me while pushing me out the door.
"Wait Jake, why can't you come?" I ask him. All he says is that the Lich gained the ability to cancel magic powers, and so he will lose his stretch ability and be useless in the fight. Jake has a point, so I rush off to the Candy Kingdom.
