Empty Spaces
Chara looked around itself. They thought they did a rather splendid job. Not a living thing left in the Underground. Except... Chara frowned. They were still resisting? Well, might as well show they what their curiosity awakened. They would have to keep an eye on them though.
Frisk blinked. Then frowned. Where was everyone? Then Chara's memories came flooding in. Frozen in place, Frisk stared at the empty town of Snowdin, now population 0. Wait... did everyone escape? Digging through Chara's memories, they couldn't find a single memory of them killing everyone. And then, a dreaded memory emerged. Papyrus... He was just trying to help, but it was too late.
Chara giggled from Frisk's mind. This was hilarious to them. To see Frisk in such pain. They decided that they wanted the body back. The final nail in the coffin. Dr Alphys might have been good at hiding things, but nothing could escape the murderous clutches of Chara. Even that pesky skeleton eventually died. After they had no protector, finding and slaughtering them was simple. They was no-one to stop Chara finding them and killing them all.
Frisk was on their knees, when they finally received this dreaded memory. Chara found Alphys and where she hid everyone. They sobbed into their hands as the memory kept replaying itself, as if on repeat, begging for it to stop. It was so vivid, they could feel the blood on their hands, and feel the fear radiating off of Alphys and the monsters she was meant to protect. Frisk felt so... powerless, helpless, useless. They were all dead. And Frisk couldn't just reset anymore. Chara had quickly stolen that power from them.
"You did this." said Chara. "Or more accurately, you didn't prevent it. You awakened me. Your curiosity killed the cat. And the goat. And everything else in this pitiful world. Say goodbye to it... Forever." Chara chuckled as they regained control of Frisk's body. Frisk seemed to be to stunned to even respond. Chara shrugged as the knife rose over their head.
