Even now as I feel death's embrace slowly enveloping me and pulling me back into the depths of the darkness from whence I came, I can't help but give one more broad and oddly triumphant smile. Those eyes, those beautiful ocean eyes, stare down at me as you watch my body slowly begin to fade. The face shifts, it looks almost younger now, the brown mass of awkward spikes sweeping up into a uniform plume on one side. Those full, soft lips I'd held against my own countless nights ago smile back down at me. I'd already said my last words but as you watch me volumes are spoken between us. Those eyes... damn those are beautiful eyes. Deep and glistening like two of the purest oceans staring in fascination at the smoldering inferno before you. As my body finally loses its last ounce of strength and the darkness rips me apart I can't help but smile. I died the most beautiful death imaginable.
I just drowned in your eyes.
