About: Half a year into South Park High and Eric Cartman is finally ready to put his grand plan to take over the school into action, that is until he's framed for murder. Someone new is out for blood and Cartman must solve a series of murders in order to clear his own name.

Characters: Cartman, Butters, Kyle, Kenny, Stan and Wendy

Authors Note: Like my other South Park story this takes place in an alternative universe, the kids are teenagers aged 16-17 and while there base character are there same some relationships between characters may have changed. Anyway, I hope you give this a chance, I'm not sure on the title for this and the description for this story isn't very good neither but what I have planned is sure to be entertaining.

Vigilantes

Chapter 1

The final bell rang through out South Park High, the hallways flooded with students eager to get out and participate in nighttime activities. One young 16 year old struggled with his books as he carefully placed them into his rucksack. He was a small teenager, with curly blonde hair and a clean well shaven face, he wore a dark blue coat and brown trousers. He looked around anxiously, zipping up the bag and rushing through the hallway dashing between the crowd as he made his way outside. Walking downstairs, he let out a relived sigh as he calmed himself and continued his journey home. Only to suddenly be yanked away from behind, fear rushed through him as he found himself lying in the snow, a threatening figure standing over him.

He couldn't find the strength to utter a single word as all he could think about was running away, the burnet towering over him stomped there foot on top of his wrist. A wicked grin spread across his face as he watched the young boy yell out in pain. "P-Please s-s-stop!" he cried. The evil teenagers crowded around him like vultures gathering round a corpse. He was hidden from the rest of students leaving the school, they had taken him to the back of the back of the building. Filled with climbing frames, swings and slides for the younger students to play with during the day, he was sure they would all soon be covered in his blood.

"What do you want?" One of the ruffians asked, a new comer had interrupted the bullys.

Suddenly, the teens felt uneasy and there victim couldn't help but feel a little hope maybe this was his chance. They won't do anything with a witness here. The bullys blocked his view, he was unable to see who was foolish enough to confront them but he could clearly hear his voice.

"You want some punk" one of the teens brought a knife out of his pocket.

Be careful, the blonde thought, "Tch, do whatever you want, why should I risk my life for someone I don't even care about" Those words stung the blonde. He could hear the large footsteps backing away, the bullies gazes following him until finally turning back to the blonde with evil intentions. The hope he had quickly turned to despair, with those words of betrayal. He had no idea who that was, he couldn't see a face but he will forever remember that voice, that evil gravelly voice.

A few months later, Cartman sat at the same table he normally did when he wanted to be alone, no one ever sat with him and that suited him fine. He took a bit of the greasy beef burger in his hands, the mustard slipping out of the bun and falling onto his white shirt. "Son of a bitch" he muttered as he whipped the sauce of with some nearby napkins. Over the top of the shirt was a red parka, he kept the hood down and mainly had it unbuttoned unless he went outside. His dark brown hair was fairly short, combed back to the right. Unlike when he was a child he rarely wore gloves or a hat anymore but he always made sure to keep his phone on him.

Cartman looked up from his shirt as he suddenly heard a tray being placed on the table, he eyed the girl sitting opposite him. Though Cartman, preferred his solitude, there was still the odd days where very few would company him, wherever he wanted there company didn't seem to matter. He ignored the girl and picked up his food, she was a small burnet a few inches smaller than him, her hazelnut hair was tied up into a pony tail and a red bow holding it all together. Cartman stared at the bow, she claimed it was her favorite accessory but he didn't understand why? After all he had only given it to her when he was unlucky in a so called lucky dip at the summer fair last year. She also wore a black shirt with the words Yeah, I hit like a girl in white and a green hoodie over the top. Cartman had laughed at the joke on the shirt the first time he saw it and now she took every chance she could to wear it.

"Heidi, is there a reason you choose to sit here out of every other seat in the school" Cartman asked, not bothering to look at her as he spoke.

"Nope" She cheerfully answered.

Cartman swallowed his mouthful as she carefully began unwrapping her salad, he didn't care if people wanted to sit with him but she was different. Heidi Turner, the first and only girlfriend Cartman had ever had, they dated when they were younger but it didn't last. She eventually broke out of his toxic hold over her and broke it of, however Cartman never truly got over that. Not to say he still had feelings for her, Cartman just holds grudges and this was one he planned to pay back. Until then however, sitting with the girl he despised was enough to put him of his food but he had to keep up the act. Otherwise revenge would never be his.

"So, did you hear what happened to Nathan?" Heidi asked.

Cartman glanced over at her, his attention drawn away from his lunch "No, what are you talking about" he asked, with a suspicious gaze.

"Well, everyone knows he was expelled a few weeks back after someone leaked photos of him beating up countless of students online"

Cartman rolled his eyes, he already knew this, he'd been gathering these photo's for months, black mail to use against Nathan but things didn't go well for him. The school would probably cover up one photo but 12. He struggled to hide his wicked grin as he waited for Heidi to continue.

"He's dead"

Cartman chocked on his food, had he heard her right, he couldn't have, he'd dead but he hadn't done anything that would result in him dying. Then why, he took the water Heidi was passing him as he slowly clamed himself down. "I heard that his body was discovered just a few days ago, in the park"

He rubbed his chin as she spoke, thinking about it he did recall passing some police cars on the way to school but didn't think to much about it. Now, after hearing this, he realized the extra amount of police must have been because of the body. He would have to check after school but first he recalled something strange Heidi had told him.

"You heard someone, who?" he asked.

"Huh?" Heidi, looked at him unsure of what he wanted.

Cartman didn't have the patients for dealing with idiots, he snapped his head towards her and slammed his fist down on the table making her jump. "Who told you?" he asked,

"Oh, the student body president did, she as well as the teachers are going to be hosting an assembly about it later on today"

My face darkened, I could already feel the headache coming on, why did it have to be her of all people. The thousands of students in this school and she's the one that I need to talk to. Cartman sighed as he muttered a swear, he looked at his watch 12:15 he still had 45 minutes until lunch was over. He decided to finish his lunch before heading over to the students body's office, ignoring Heidi as she attempted to talk with him.

The student body President held the responsibility of looking after all students in the school, that included the dead ones. A young girl with long black hair running down her shoulders, blue eyes and white skin, flicked through the folders stored in the filling cabinet. A mountain of paperwork was already stacked up on her desk waiting to be filled in, put there by the teachers to lazy to do it themselves.

Why couldn't this all be digitized?

Unlike most girls in high school who chose to wear skimpy skirts, ripped up jeans, or flashy dresses, oddly enough she wore a black suit. A white shirt with the top button always undone, a purple tie, a black blazer, black trousers and black high heel shoes. She liked her appearance not only did it make her feel more professional but it also kept the boys disinterested.

She stopped when her eyes finally came across the folder she had been looking for, pulling it out of the cabinet. she opened it up on her desk avoiding the paperwork already scattered there and silently began reading. The folder was labeled, Nathan Prescott, the name of the student who had recently passed away. Inside was a detailed description of him and a record of all the letters, sick notes and detention slips the school had issued to him.

She sighed, a few days ago she had been told to get these papers ready to expel Nathan now she felt like was writing up his death certificate. She pressed the red stamp down on the paper, lifting it up it read Expelled in red ink, she was about to put the documents away when she suddenly heard voices outside her office.

"She may have gone to lunch"

"Psh, please, that girl is a workaholic!"

She glared at the door, letting out an annoyed sigh, straight away she recognized the voices, Eric Cartman and his shadow aka Heidi Turner. "Hey Wendy!" Cartman yelled, swinging the door wide open. He stood in the doorway of her office, behind him was his shadow, she had gotten the nickname because of how she obsessively followed him everywhere, every chance she got. She was practically his stalker, she wasn't always like this, it just happened one day, no one was sure why or when it started, maybe the summer fair last year. Yes, definitely the summer fair, before then Heidi like everyone else could barely stand the sight of Eric Cartman but after that day she started spending more time with him. A year and a half later and she's probably got a shrine of him at home or something.

"I brought you lunch" Heidi said, placing a small salad down on top of her desk.

"Thanks" Wendy smiled, then turned her attention to Cartman, who had started going through the filling cabinets. "What are you doing?"

"I'm looking for something" he responded nonchalantly.

She didn't mind people visiting her while she worked, Heidi's company particular was a welcome distraction but having Cartman rummage through her neatly organized files was not okay. "Heidi, make him stop or I will" She said, in a calm yet demanding tone. She swallowed nervously, then turned to Cartman "Eric, if your looking for something don't you think it'd be quicker to ask Wendy where it is" That wasn't what she was hoping for but Cartman did stop.

He placed his fat ass on the side of her desk, she ignored him as he started to explain "My dear friend Nathan, has recently passed away and I was wandering if I could perhaps have a peek at his file."

"sure I have it right here, after all" she sweetly said, with a kind smile. Cartman went to take the folder from her but she quickly yanked it away and placed the papers in her bag. "Then again why would you be curious about something like this?" she asked, the edges of Cartmans smile began to waver. "I told you, he was my good friend"

She stared at him, scanning his face for any sings of a lie, it was true that Cartman did hang out with Nathan a lot. However, rumor was that Cartman and Nathan had recently had a bit of a falling out. Cartman rubbed the bridge of his nose as he let out a frustrated sigh, "Okay, look, I'm not being honest, the truth is before he died Nathan had asked me to forge his grades so his dad wouldn't get mad"

"Well he's dead now so why do you care" I asked, still suspicious of Cartman's true motives.

He glared at me insulted by what I had said "Because he's my friend… Was my friend" Heidi comforted him as he rubbed tears away from his eyes. "Look, Nathan didn't want his grades changed for his own benefit." I eyed him suspiciously as he continued explaining. "It's his dad, when his dad gets mad, he takes it out on his mum. That's why he wanted me to forge his grades" My eyes widen in shock, I place my hand over my mouth, I wasn't expecting that… He holds onto Heidi's hand as he wipes the tears out of his eyes "I-I-I know what I'm asking of you but please, she's already suffering and I promised him!" Cartman sounded like he meant it, his voice was strained and Heidi kept her hand interlocked with his.

He seems honestly heart broken over his friends death but even so something like this would cost me my place as the student body president if anyone ever found out. Wendy felt conflicted, was this honestly Nathans last request, would his mum get hurt again if she didn't agree to this. She sighed, then handed him the documents "I'm trusting you here Cartman and I need them back before the end of the day"

"Thank you" Heidi said for him.

She knew there was a chance that she'd regret that but she her conscience wouldn't allow her to ignore this. With only half an hour remaining until lunch was over Wendy decided to leave them two alone for now as she made her way down the halls. "You okay?" Heidi asked standing behind him. He looked down at the folder in his hand, tears staining the cover, "heh" his hands were shacking, he struggled to hold it together. Heidi could see how badly he was shacking and quickly wrapped him up in her embrace. "It's okay, everything's going to be okay" she whispered into his ear. However she didn't see the sinister smile growing across his face as he held her arm in his hand. Yeah, now everything really will be okay.
