Fast Asleep
a 4+3 poem
You consume my every thought
Among the battles which we've fought.
During the time that I slept
My thoughts of you, quiet I kept.
In my mind and in my soul
My feelings pay a silent toll.
In my heart and in my dreams
Nothing is what it really seems.
I want to tell you what I feel
I want you to help me learn to heal.
But if I finally do confess
Would you like me any less?
My fear corrupts me and seals my pain
It beats me like a harsh cold rain.
How hard I try, I cannot escape
My heart's consumed by this endless rape.
You fill me heart, you cause my sorrow
But there is new light with the next tomorrow.
I suffer in silence, my feelings hid deep
But you are mine in dreams when I'm fast asleep.

This was like a flash idea thought. One of those ideas that you have to write down or you'll lose it forever, I know, I know…maybe it would have been better being lost forever... Bad, I know, but I actually like it. If you haven't figured it out, it's Quatre's point of view and he's thinking about his feelings for Trowa. I know, a very used pairing but it fit.
