It was a few years after his last mystery with Mystery Incorporated, Scrappy Doo, Scooby Doo's nephew, in Crystal Cove High as a student. He was preparing to be a tour guide for the new five students. Their names were Jayden Rivers, a green hazel eyed girl with brown hair teenage girl, wearing a black jacket with a white shirt and ripped black jeans. Elizabeth Blossom, a girl with black glasses, a black jacket too, she had blue eyes, a black shirt that had the Panic! At The Disco logo on it, blue eyes with white jeans. David Walker, a boy with blue hair, a gray shirt, brown eyes, blue jeans and a black jacket. The black jackets that they all wear have their team name on it, which is the Diamond Hearts. Veronica Hastings, a girl with brownish greenish eyes, black curly hair, a camouflage shirt, a black and red sweater tied around her waist and black leggings. Lastly, Bryan Lodge, a boy with a Fall Out Boy shirt, white sweatpants on, ginger hair and blue eyes.
They had walked into the school. Everyone stared at them, as if they committed a crime but they didn't care. They were used to stares and weird faces at them. Once Scrappy walked up to them, Jayden said, ''So, you're our tour guide? What's your name?'' Scrappy replied with, ''I'm Scrappy, Scrappy Doo.'' Veronica smiled as Jayden said, ''Cool! I'm Jayden Rivers but you can call me Jay, this is Bryan Lodge, Veronica Hastings, David Walker and Elizabeth Blossom." After that, Scrappy showed them the entire school. The lockers, the gym, classrooms, cafeteria which was Bryan's favorite part of the tour because he loves food, all of the places where they have extra curriculars, which made Jay, Elizabeth and Veronica excited because that means Jay and V get to try out for Cheerleading, dancing, art and photography because those are their interests. Liz got to try out for the Math club, she was excited for that because she loves Math and is really smart. Also, they looked at sports and the hallways.
At Lunch time, as Scrappy sat with his new friends, Veronica asked, ''Hey Scrap, would you like to be a part of our group?'' Scrappy grinned and answered, ''Why wouldn't I want to join?'' David spoke, ''You know, we'll be having a sleepover at Jay's house tonight, after she and Veronica try out for Cheerleading and you're invited.'' Scrappy said, ''Can't wait! I'll be there!'' Elizabeth answered, ''Perfect! I'll see you guys soon!'' They all said at once,''See you soon Liz!"
The gang arrived at Jay's house and Bryan gave Scrappy his very own Diamond Heart jacket. Scrappy loved it and jumped up for joy when he first saw it. He gave Bryan a big hug and said, ''Thanks Bryan!'' Bryan said, ''You're welcome Scrappy, by the way, are you related to the world famous Scooby Doo by any chance?'' Scrappy answered, ''Yeah! He's my uncle! I used to solve mysteries with him and his gang and they go by the name of Mystery Inc.'' Liz replied, ''Awesome! We're all really big fans of Mystery Inc, they're the reason why we solve mysteries just like them.'' All of a sudden, an airplane busted through the window and the teens ducked and screamed. When they looked up, they saw someone in a black robe who started saying, ''Diamond Hearts! You thought you defeated me but I am back! And I will take the things you love away from you. There is NOTHING you can do about it!" The villian let out an evil laugh as black smoke surrounded the group, making them cough and pass out. When they woke up, Bryan and the villian were gone. Fire was all around them and they quickly exited the house. They tried to look for Bryan and were screaming his name but there was no answer and no Bryan anywhere. V said, ''Well, we got a mystery on our hands, get in the van and find Bryan. Liz replied with, ''Okay, come on let's go guys.''
They got in the van and Jay drove them across the country, searching for Bryan. Their van belongs to Jay, and has their team name on it too. It is written in white and looks similar to the My Chemical Romance logo and the rest of the van is pitch black.
