Arthur was over the moon when his father had said yes for him to leave Camelot and find his Omega. Since he had turned 21 six months ago he had to convince his father of letting him leave the castle unguarded for the search of his Omega.
At the age of 21 Alphas and Omegas gained the control of the inner wolf meaning they could change whenever they wanted and that they had access to all wolf powers when not in wolf form.
So far Arthur had been all over Camelot in search of his Omega. People had their daughters lined up in the street but he didn't feel the bond with them. At the moment he was traveling to a small village called Ealdor on the border of CenredsKingdom. He wasn't allowed there because it was in another kingdom (one that was enemies with his father too) but he liked to consider Ealdor apart of Camelot's Kingdom considering Cenred never paid attention to it.
He knew what he was looking for too meaning he'd be able to get out of there quickly if an emergency happened. He was looking for an Omega with the scent he expected her to have, roses and pine.
"Merlin your mum is going to kill us"
"Stop being such a wimp Will and change"
Merlin had turned the rightful age of 21 a week ago and ever since then she had been in several scraps with Alphas. She enjoyed it but most of the time her mother interrupted the scraps so she couldn't continue.
Merlin's friend Will changed into his wolf form. In Merlin's opinion Will had beautiful brown fur which was a nice muddy colour with white tips around his paws. Will wasn't a muscular wolf but had good tactics when needed.
Merlin stretched out her hands and yawned before turning in to her wolf form which she called dull. Her mother described it as beautiful as the mid-night sky, which Merlin dis-agreed with because it was just plain black.
Merlin circled Will and both of them leapt at each other in sync. They began fighting but stopped when Merlin's mother entered the clearing.
"Merlin Emrys change now!"
Merlin changed back to her normal form and smiled sheepishly at her mother. Will turned back to his normal form too and waved at Hunith (Merlin's mother).
"William I expected better from you. Anyway your mother is looking for you, she says it's getting dark and she wants you back before the Wild Ones appear"
Will nodded and took off into a sprint towards his house. Merlin sighed and looked up at the dark sky.
"We best get back too Merlin before Wild Ones appear"
Wild Ones are those who lived in the wild and stuck in wolf form. They attacked other Wolfs who lived in homes and lived normal lives.
Merlin and her mother began walking home when Merlin stopped in her tracks. The scent of blueberries and pine hit her nose and she felt a strong urge to it, like a bond which was dragging her. Merlin turned and grinned at her mother who sent Merlin a look of confusion.
"What is it Merlin? What's wrong?"
"He's here! My alpha is here!"
