Hello, and welcome to my random one-shot of Artemis Fowl I made for St. Patrick's Day!
I know it will be a bit unconventional, but I hope you will enjoy it all the same!
I don't own Artemis Fowl, and I never will, so don't ask!

Lucky Green
People always wonder if leprechauns are real. Heck, scientists and hippies alike have gone to the hallowed ground of Ireland, in search of this race. All have come back disappointed, admitting that there is no sign of the Green-dressed elves.
Well, that's probably because we hide ourselves so well!
Yes, I am a leprechaun—or, as we call ourselves: The People. We were the first beings here in Ireland. It was our home for five millennia—until the humans came came, with their weapons of mass destruction, hoping to seek us out. So, we delved into our powers of magic, and disguised ourselves.
Now, I shant tell you what we his as, now should I? It would reveal our position to the stupid humans, and doom us all. But I shall tell you this: our magic is dwindling. Our people are fading away with it. Soon, our whole race will be extinguished—unless something happens…
Every St. Patrick's Day, we have let ourselves be known to the children of Ireland, and several other countries who still have the pure in heart. We show ourselves to these children, and bid them to fulfill one request, so secret and inexpressibly sacred. We reveal our salvation to these children, the only hope left in this otherwise dark world: The color Green.
"This sacred color," we told them, "has powers unkown to the mass population of humans and elves alike. It will save our people.
"So, every March seventeenth, our holy day, we ask you to tell everyone to wear green. This will bring strength to those that can harness it, and bring life back to us."
With that we left the young ones, trusting that they will uphold their promise. We have already seen results—incredible results—but it is still not enough to bring back our ancient culture. So, every St. Patrick's Day, we pray to the gods above that every human, adlult and child, will don the sanctified color, our lucky Green, and save our race from destruction.
When they do, we will bless them will luck for all etertnity.
