Hey guys! It's missgrangerthebookworm and ahh first fanfic! Or first fanfic uploaded onto this website. I swear, on this site, uploading is like rocket science or something. When I first tried, I gave up and flocked to the lesser known community of Wattpad. I wrote hundreds of fanfics. I finished about three. And they were oneshots. But I'm hoping I'll get on a lot better on here. This site has much more people on it, which means more people to review (yay!) Please review if you liked it. Because the more reviews I get, the more motivation, and the more chapters. Anyway, I'm starting off with a oneshot because it's easier for me. A really short one. The actual story part is 342 words long, but I've taken up a lot of space with the intro. A lot. M'kay. I'm going to start soon. Like, right now.

Disclaimer: I own neither the characters nor the place, only the concept.

The rain and wind rattled the window pane, and Ginny shivered. She curled up, into a small ball, pulling the duvet over her head. A bolt of lightning flashed outside her window, and Ginny threw off the covers, swinging out of bed. She broke into a run, running across the wooden planks that were the flooring of the burrow, running across the corridor, into Hermione's room.

"Hermione!" Ginny hissed, shaking her. "Hermione!"

"What time is it?" the brunette yawned, stretching her arms to the ceiling sleepily.

"Quarter past midnight, and there's lightning and thunder and 'Mione, I'm scared."

She pouted, and Hermione rolled across the bed tiredly to make room for Ginny, who clambered in beside her. Thunder shook the house, and Ginny let out a small screech.

"It's okay Ginny." Hermione murmured, pulling the redhead closer.

"I know some good protection spells, but it's still very unlikely we'll need them."

"I know but-" the redhead began, but Ginny was cut off by the brunette's lips brushing against her own. She gasped, and Hermione pulled away.

"Sorry." she said, blushing. "I thought-"

But Ginny was kissing her back, and it was Hermione's turn to gasp. Hermione deepened the kiss, moaning against the redhead's lips, and skimming her tongue across them, asking for access. Access was shortly granted, as Ginny's lips parted slightly, allowing Hermione's tongue to slip through. Their tongues danced together, and Ginny's arms slipped around the brunette's waist, pulling her closer, pressing their bodies together. Hermione's hands tangled into Ginny's hair, knotting and twisting the red mass, fingers running through the long strands.

When they finally pulled apart, Ginny gazed into the brunette's sparkling chocolate orbs. Hermione smiled; her grin widened until she was beaming quite radiantly.

Ginny smiled back.

She still went into Hermione's room when there was a thunderstorm, even when Ginny had grown unafraid of the rattling windowpanes. And the brunette knew, but said nothing. In fact, Hermione claimed she was afraid of the full moon, using this excuse to sneak across the wooden flooring of the Burrow.

Well yay! I'm done. Finally. Review please! And I'm going to start a chapter kind of fic soon. I've already taken up too much word space. I'm going now.
