Dance of a Burning Ember

By: Candied

Author's note: The second in the series of poems I will be writing for the organization and perhaps a few others. I guess that would make it the sequel to Dance of the Melodious Nocturne, ne? Anyway, it's in the same style, and I hope you all like it as much as you liked the first! Next on the list, of course, is Roxas. As always, this is dedicated to my lovely reviewers that make me so happy that I almost don't care that my legs feel like they're on fire. 3

Burning embers once ablaze,

waning into a pale glow,

With the last of my being,

I put on a marvelous show,

I stare at his eyes,

shocking- brilliantly azure,

I know who it really is,

but somehow it's Roxas- I'm sure,

Burn baby,

let the fire cut across the night,

Burn baby,

let it make the darkness bright,

sweltering was my flare,

and wild was its dance,

flames will go on,

but I've lost my chance

Mellowing to ashes,

or, at least, so it feels,

the icy tingle is swallowing me,

but so goes fate's wheels,

But that look- his look,

For I can see that it's his smile,

The same one that made me feel,

it makes this all worth while,

Burn baby,

let the fire cut across the night,

Burn baby,

let it make the darkness bright,

sweltering was my flare,

and wild was its dance,

flames will go on,

but I've lost my chance

I'll see you later,

my best friend,

we made that promise,

in the next life- we'll meet again,

I will keep you fondly in my memories,

when we next meet it will be the same,

Just you wait, I'll be there,

For I'm the Flurry of Dancing Flames

Author's note: Do you like it? Let me know! Anyways, I'm working double shifts until sunday (curls up in a ball and cries because her feet hurt), so I will try to get some updates in before then, but if not I do promise Sunday. I'm a waitress and working a double shift is hell for me since it requires a lot of walking and standing up, so I usually pass out before I get the chance to think about updating. This, for instance, was first written on a napkin this afternoon after lunch-rush. Also, if you go out to eat... leave good tips. We live off them, and you never know, I might be your server! You want me to be able to afford internet, yes? Ok, I'm seriously done now. Please review, it makes me want to write more!!!
