Elevator Love
A/N: this is written post-breakup from Serena's point-of-view (I write a lot of these). Normally I plan my stories, brainstorming ideas, writing the rough draft out on paper, then editing over and over again before finally uploading, but lately I seem to be writing a few stories that just come to me when I'm doing something else and i can't help but upload them. This one was written in half an hour so if you see any errors just tell me and i'll fix them up. Please review, it makes me smile and want to write more stories. xx edie
I see him, and that ocean of regret and sadness sweeps over me again, crushing me and leaving me gasping for air.
I look at him, and am relieved to see that he hasn't seen me, yet.
I turn my attention back to the magazine rack, when I feel someone tap me on the shoulder. I turn around, petrified, just to see the shop-owner pointing towards my books and saying "Do you want me to take those for you?"
I smile and hand them to her.
I feel another tap on my shoulder, it's probably just the shop-owner again.
I turn around to see what she wants, only to find familiar lips crushing mine, saying what words cannot.
His hands wind around my waist, and my hands rest on his shoulders.
We stand there, kissing so passionately, until the shop-owner clears her throat loudly and asks if I want to pay for my books now.
I blush, and pull away from Dan, half expecting him to disappear out the door, but instead he holds my hand, our fingers linking together.
I thank the shop-owner and leave, Dan by my side. I want to look at him, make sure he's real and not a figment of my over-active imagination, but something makes me hold back.
We walk down the busy streets in silence, until he stops suddenly and pulls me down a quiet street.
He pulls me towards him, pressing his lips to mine again, deeper this time.
"Dan," I mumble, my lips against his.
He responds by snaring my upper-lip between his teeth.
I giggle.
"What would you do if I told you I still loved you?"
He stops, looking at me.
After a few moments considering his answer he picks me up and hoists my legs around his hips.
"I'd say that I was a fool to let you go, and nothing will make me release my hold again."
I smile and kiss him, our bodies humming in time, as hands reach for places they know only too well.
He stops me when it starts to hail, tiny ice blocks hitting our skin which is already tingling from before.
Wordlessly, he takes my hand, leading me through the bustling streets until we arrive at the Palace.
He calls for the elevator, and pushes me inside, stepping in after me. I press my floor number, and the elevator moves up swiftly.
"Serena..." he murmurs. "There's no one else inside this elevator..."
I push the emergency stop button and then press him up against the wall.
