Disclaimer: I don't own the power rangers Disney does. And I don't own this song. This story came to me the other day as I listened to this song.
The marching band came down along Main Street.
The soldier blues fell in behind.
I looked across and there I saw Billy
Waiting to go and join the line
And with her head upon his shoulder
His young and lovely fiancee
From where I stood I saw she was crying
And through her tears I heard her say
Billy Cranston stood with his fiancée Trini Kwan in the crowd of people watching the parade go by and as it ended a sign with the phrase (Join up and help us fight for the lost ones of the attacks on the World Trade Center.) Billy had lost an Aunt and two cousins in that attack. Billy looked at Trini.
"Trini I've been thinking about this for a while and I'm joining the marines."
"Why ?"
"To help the people who need it. I can't just sit here and after what we've done as teenagers can you really tell me that you can sit here and do nothing."
"I know my limitations and .."
She was cut off by his kiss and he turned and walked to the recruiting office behind them. " Come back to me." She said a the tears fell more.

And as Billy started to go she said keep your pretty head low

Shortly after filling out all of the paperwork Billy was sent to the training facility then a few weeks latter sent out in the field. Now as the soldiers were walking through the deep muddy hillside the ended up trapped.
The soldier blues were trapped on a hillside
The battle raging all around
The sergeant cried, We've got to hang on, boys
We've gotta hold this piece of ground
I need a volunteer to ride out
And bring us back some extra men
And Billy's hand was up in a moment
Forgettin' all the words she said
Billy went back to get them help and on his way back he was ambushed and was left to die as he laid there he remembered the last time he had seen his fiancée.
(Flashback: Billy looked back to see her crying and she said to him.)
She said
Billy, don't be a hero, don't be a fool with your life
Billy, don't be a hero, come back and make me your wife
And as Billy started to go she said, keep your pretty head low
Billy, don't be a hero, come back to me
A few days latter Trini sat in her apartment with her best friend Kimberly and was talking to her when she received a certified letter from the government. As she read the letter she started to cry, and fell to the floor as the letter went to the garbage.
I heard his fiancée got a letter
That told how Billy died that day
The letter said that he was a hero
She should be proud he died that way
I heard she threw the letter away
I know sad huh but I. Billy and Trini are two of my favorites so sorry if it disappoints anyone and I heard this song and thought what would happen if…
