Note:
This poem, is actually a song. I wrote it to be sung to the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest soundtrack song, "Davy Jones". The words fit just right, if you know how to sing it. I came up with it while working on a wallpaper of Will Turner (a very angsty, whipping scene wallpaper). If you want the wallpaper, send me an email and I'll give you the link. It'll be on my website soon, most likely (once finals are over that is). So, the song isn't really about Davy Jones... it's about Will.
Disclaimer:
I do not own Will or POTC or the song Davy Jones. I do, however, own these lyrics that I wrote FOR the song. These lyrics will also, I think, get posted on since they are an original creation of mine.
This is the joy that I
feel
This is my hearts sad
appeal
I wake each morn to the
sun's bright light
And see my soul reborn
There are times I fear to
look
That I may have suddenly
mistook
My rebirth for something
more
This death that's at my
door
I can sometimes see my
plight
A pain which hides in me
at night
That pain I feel has no
compare
It's there it's burning
still
There are clouds as black
as night
That hover over all that's
light
These clouds sway in the
darkness
These clouds that speak of
death
I feel it here inside my
soul
The pain I hide and the
joy I hold
I feel it there deep
within me
This sorrow my lament
I can see the world anew
I feel its power and its
strength too
Sometimes I look to the
past
A past which is no more
