Eight Hannah albums, including the Christmas ones and various compilations. By the end of the summer, Mikayla knew every single word; it was pratically all she listened to.

Months ago she wouldn't have gone within a mile of a Hannah Montana CD, since she did hate the blonde pop princess. But still, Mikayla could've sworn she'd seen those eyes before, which eventually led to her discovery that the blonde...wasn't a blonde at all. Along with uncovering Miley's brown locks, she soon came to uncover the girl beneath both Hannah and Miley.

And they fell in love.

Unfortunately, not only the summer ended that August; so did their relationship. Miley was going back to school and Mikayla, being the kind person only Miley knew she was, was concerned that it would be too complicated for her girlfriend to juggle high school, Hannah, and her. The younger girl protested strongly, but Mikayla still left, with only a suggestion that they could continue being friends.

Two weeks had gone by, and neither teenager had said a word to each other since.

Mikayla's fingers glided across the six strings of her acoustic guitar effortlessly; it was involuntary, since she was staring off into the distance, not paying attention whatsoever. Thunder cracked outside a little too loudly and it tore the sixteen year-old out of her daze as she glanced at the darkening sky through the glass sliding doors. Everything she saw reminded her of those gray, angelic eyes that brought beauty to a whole new level.

Suddenly, it came to her; Mikayla started strumming chords, knowing exactly what she wanted to play at the moment.

"Today, in the blink of an eye, I'm holding onto something and I do not know why I tried. I tried to read between the lines. I tried to look in your eyes. I want a simple explanation; what I'm feeling inside..."

It shouldn't have been such a big deal; Miley was just a summer love... 'Right?'

"Your voice was the soundtrack of my summer. Do you know you're unlike any other? You'll always be my thunder..."

'Wrong.' Miley wasn't just special; she was extraordinary, and it's noteveryday that someone like her comes along. 'Why the hell did I let that go?!'

"I'm walking on a tightrope; I'm wrapped up in vines. I think I'll make it out, but you just gotta give me time. Strike me down with lightning; let me feel you in my veins. I wanna let you know how much I feel your pain..."

All Mikayla did two weeks ago was break both hers and Miley's heart, and, in her own opinion, it took her way too long to figure that much out. Placing her guitar down on the couch, she grabbed her keys and rushed out the front door. The rain beat down hard, but a jacket was out of the question as Mikayla hopped in the Mercedes, dead-set on getting to her as fast as possible.

Your eyes are the brightest of all the colors

I don't wanna ever love another

You'll always be my thunder

So bring on the rain...

She speed-walked up the driveway, getting more soaked by the second. Mikayla really couldn't care less while she repeatedly and rapidly rang the doorbell to the house she'd just arrived at. Miley was shocked to find her dripping wet ex on her front porch step and then was caught even more off guard when she got dragged into a rough kiss. "M-Mickie..." she stuttered after the other girl pulled away. "What, uh...it's pouring..."

"Bring it on," Mikayla grinned, leaning in to kiss Miley again.

Oh baby, bring on the pain

And listen to the thunder.

You like it? If so, please review :) It was kind of random, but I was inspired when I listened to the song. I don't own anything...more one-shots coming soon.
