A/N: I had this story in a few months ago, but they took it off. There should be more than one chapter. There will be… Eventually.
Colleen and Brian were sitting in their parlor. Doctor Mike and their step-father were still at the hospital. Matthew had gone back to Colorado Springs to see Ingrid.
"Colleen?" Brian asked. Colleen looked up at him from her sewing.
"Yeah Brian?" Colleen questioned quietly.
"I miss Colorado Springs; Mr. Bray, Miss Dorothy, Miss Grace, Horace, Robert E, Sully, everybody." Brian replied. She walked over to him and hugged him.
"I do too Brian, but Doctor Mike wants us to be here with her, besides where are we going to go?" Colleen asked with a laugh.
"We can live with Matthew and Ingrid." Brian stated.
"They won't want us to live with them." Colleen said.
"Why? He is our brother." Brian questioned with a look of bewilderment on his face.
"Just because Brian." Colleen giggled as Elsa the main walked into the parlor. She gave Colleen a cold glare.
"Children, shoo! The parlor is no place for children!" Elsa exclaimed almost spitting ice cubes.
"My Ma said it was okay." Brian responded innocently. Elsa scoffed.
"Doctor Quinn isn't here and I can't do my job properly with you in here so shoo!" Elsa waved her Kleenex at Colleen. Colleen glared at her.
"Come on Brian." Colleen stood up and took Brian's hand.
"I wish she didn't work here." Brian stated boldly.
"Brian Cooper!" Colleen scolded him. "I can't believe you would say something like that; what about everything Ma and Reverend Johnson told us?" Brian looked up at her.
"I'm sorry Colleen. She's just so mean to you and me. Ma's hardly ever around and I don't want Elsa as my new Ma." Colleen laughed.
"She's not our new ma." She smiles and leans down to his level. "We'll talk to Doctor Mike on Sunday."
"If she even goes with us." Brian mumbled.
"Brian, she has a job at a big hospital here in Boston."
"That's another thing I miss; the clinic." Brian said.
"We live with Doctor Mike; we don't have a choice Brian." Colleen said firmly. Brian frowned.
"I hate the tutors. I miss having Miss Dorothy teach us. She was so patient. Unlike these teachers." Brian crossed his arms. Michaela came in the front door carrying a large box. She walked over to the children.
"Hi Brian, Colleen." Her smile was wide.
"Colleen, I got a beautiful new dress for you for the party." Colleen looked down.
"What's wrong with this?" Colleen asked. Michaela was taken aback.
"Well nothing for a small get together Colleen, but this is a fancy Boston party here in our home. You must look the part if you want to make friends right? Come down here and try it on." Michaela walked away and Colleen looked at Brian.
"I think we found some time to talk to her."
"But she wants you to wear some big party dress."
"If we don't talk to her now, Brian, we may never get to." With that, Colleen gracefully walked across the floor with seven year old Brian chasing her. Elsa grabbed his arm.
"Stop that! Doctor Quinn lives here. You don't have to." She exclaimed. Colleen took Elsa's hand off of Brian and got right in her face.
"Don't ever talk to my brother like that again." Colleen stated and they walked away.
