He sped through the halls, bumping into people and lockers, to get away from her. She was out to kill him.

Once he felt he was prepared enough, he asked her where Lyon's and Ultear's lockers were. She told him the numbers much more calmly.

He slowly walked to each one, grabbing their books and homework assignments. He, a bit faster, walked outside to meet Natsu and Lucy.

Natsu asked why he had been running. He explained, turning to the graveyard. They followed him blindly, not knowing it was the last time they'd see him happy that day.

Lucy questioned his actions. Did he really need to do all this homework in the graveyard? He didn't quite know.

He slowly walked to their graves, the beautiful, hand-carved letters shining wit new brilliance. He slowly placed the homework on the desired stone.

He sat on Ur's, noticing change in his friends' posture. Oh, they died today. We just dug a hole, threw 'em in, planted the stone and left.

He did his homework with the dead and his friends, exchanging words every now and then. He looked much sadder, splotches making their onto his papers.

He sloppily sniffed, eyes widening when he saw Meredy's face next to his, smiling kindly. He raced to hug her, his face buried in her neck. Oh, how cute! Lucy thought.

Meredy didn't blame Gray as much as he thought, and Natsu and Lucy were there to comfort him.
