Marlene McFly sat in detention for the fourth time this school year. She didn't even do anything wrong this time! Her tray of macaroni and cheese accidentally flew off her plate and hit Kiera in the face. It wasn't her fault that the trays are extra slippery, and the styrofoam bowls are pieces of shit. Okay, maybe it was kind of her fault that it had hit Kiera, but it wasn't as if she didn't deserve it.

The little bitch doesn't know when to shut up. Plus, she's one of those snobby rich girls who get everything they want with a snap of her finger. Marley wanted to make a point that she didn't own the whole school. So, she ended up with a face full of macaroni. Maybe that will shut her up for a while. So there she was, in detention. Again.

Marley had been early to detention, though. Twenty-two minutes early, to be exact. Her father had to go to some business meeting or something around the same time, so he had just dropped her off early. He was never mad about detentions, which was an extremely good thing when Strickland has a personal vendetta against you. He said he went through it all before when he was in high school, so it wasn't surprising that Strickland didn't like Marley much, or any McFly, for that matter.

She didn't know whether or not she was going to be the only one in detention, or not. Last time, she had been harassed by Needles' kid the entire time, so she prayed to god that she wouldn't get stuck with him again. Detention wasn't really all that bad, though. I mean, catching up on sleep is one thing, but screwing around with whoever you're stuck with is another thing.

One time Marley was in detention, she spent the whole day gossiping with her friend, who had snuck in just so that Marley wouldn't be alone. But, she had some piano lesson first thin gin the morning, so she couldn't do that this time. Marley fiddled with the pen she had been holding because there was absolutely nothing else to do. Strickland made sure that detention is the worst place to be on a Saturday.

Marley stopped for a moment because she heard foot steps heading towards the room she was in. She could here one kind of quiet voice, and one loud one, they seemed to be arguing. As they got closer, their conversation became clearer.

"I didn't do anything wrong!"

"You keep telling yourself that, Mr. Tannen, and you'll be here next Saturday too!"

Marley's heart sank slightly. Great. Griff was going to be with her. Just great. She didn't think that Griff liked her too much, and he had constantly bothered her brother before, so this shouldn't pan out too well. Marlene sighed and prepared herself for the harassment that was to come. The door opened wide, as Griff stepped in, his back to Marley as he was saying something to Strickland, probably a threat or something, before he had closed the door.

"Well, lookey what we have here, Marley McFly. Didn't think I'd see you here," he said, and grinned that trademark Griff/Biff grin. It was kind of creepy.

"Yeah, well, I'm not the goody-two-shoes that everyone thinks," she replied, as calm as she could. Yeah, Griff got on everybody's nerves, or at least that what she had heard. Marley had the pleasure of never having any classes with Griff, ever. Though she did hear about some of his antics.

"What did you do?" He asked her, taking a seat in the desk beside her.

"I, uh, threw a bowl of macaroni and cheese and someone's face," Marley explained, and Griff reacted the same what she had expected. By laughing. Hysterically. "What did you do?"

"Don't worry about it," He answered, giving her look that just made her worry about it even more. It was probably something stupid, but thanks to him being so secretive, it made her want to know even more. "Do you really wanna know?"

"Yes."

"Well, I'm not telling you."

"Why?"

"Because."

"Because why?"

"Because…just because!"

Marley facepalmed. Yes, this was going to be a very very long Saturday.
