Don't know where this came from... anyway I don't own The Legend of Zelda, though it would be AWESOME if I did!
"Rock…paper…scissors…shoot!"
Link groaned, glaring at his shadow, Dark Link.
"I told you it wouldn't work. Just like the last twenty six times." he mumbled.
Dark Link shrugged. "Whatever. I'm sure it'll come out differently the next time."
Zelda quietly walked up to the two of them. She watched them argue for a while, until her curiosity ultimately got the better of her.
"What are you guys doing?" she asked.
"We're playing Rock Paper Scissors." Dark Link answered.
"Hardly." muttered Link. "Just as I thought, every time we throw down our hands, we come up with a tie. I use scissors, he uses scissors. I use paper, he uses paper. It's the same with rock."
"Well, duh. He's your shadow, so of course he copies your every move." said Zelda. "Can I try throwing down a hand?"
The two boys looked at each other, then back at Zelda, and nodded. She sat down next to them.
Link stared down his opponents. He wasn't too worried about Zelda (she was just a girl, after all; not much to worry about) but Dark Link was something else. He was evil, so Link knew that he'd probably attempt to cheat. He'd have to do something they wouldn't expect…which would be something completely expected! Rock was the only choice, in that case. Everyone used rock. It's for that reason that only idiots use rock, but since no one would expect him to use rock, he'd just have to use it, and win!
"Rock…paper…scissors…"
Each of them threw down a hand.
"Shoot!"
Dark Link and Link sighed, once they saw each other's hands. Both had used rock.
"Hmm, maybe we share a thought process, too?" suggested Dark Link.
"Um, Zelda, what is that supposed to be?" asked Link.
Zelda had thrown down both of her hands, strangely. They were clasped together with one of the thumbs sticking upwards.
"Why, it's a bomb." said Zelda matter-of-factly. "See, the thumb is the wick, and the rest is the bomb. And a bomb beats a rock, as I'm sure you're well aware of, Link."
The two boys turned red.
"No fair! There's no way that's a valid move!" they shouted.
Zelda smirked. "Yes, it is. I'm positive. Besides, it works better than the inevitable ties you two always come up with."
"That's crazy! You're insane!" yelled Dark Link.
Zelda proudly held up the mark on her hand, which showed she possessed the Triforce of Wisdom. She cleared her throat and took on a calm, dignified manner.
"True insanity is repeating the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
With that said, she walked away, leaving Link and Dark Link feeling foolish.
Dark Link pouted. "I told you it wouldn't work." he grumbled.
"That's my line, stupid!" barked Link.
