I stood at the balcony, looking out at the night sky scattered about with bright stars. I just was looking for a night off, to just take a break from my responsibilities as leader of the Inquisition. When I heard we were to attend a party at the Winter Palce, I was elated. However, when it turned out to be just another mission to catch a would-be assassin I couldn't help but be a bit disappointed. I was deep in my thoughts, until a voice behind me startled me so much I almost tumbled over the balcony.

I quickly turned and let out a sigh of relief when I saw it was only Dorian. "Something ails you, Cadis. What is it?" Dorian asked with a concerned tone, brushing a strand of hair out of my eyes. I smiled shyly at my feet and shook my head. "Nothing's wrong, Dorian. Just-" I paused.

"What?"

"I- I just wanted a fun night out, a break from responsibility. But this' fun night out' has turned into a responsibility because there's-" Dorian interrupted my angry rambling with a sweet kiss filled with passion before pulling away gently with a smile. "It sounds like you could use a break. For example, a dance?" He suggested, holding out his hand to me. I looked at his hand, then back at him. "I- I don't know how to dance." I blushed with embarrassment. He stepped closer until our chests touched, looking down at me. "I'll teach you."

He lead me by the hand to the middle of the patio on the balcony, putting his left hand in my right, and wrapping his other hand around my waist. This allowed him to pull me closer, making me blush. I put my other hand on his shoulder. He gazed into my eyes, and stepped a couple of times slowly to the right, as I awkwardly mirrored his steps. "Now, i'll be the one to lead, Cadis. Just remember, you're along for the ride." This didn''t work out as well as he'd hoped, so he seemed to think for a second. "Hmm. I have an idea. Step on my feet." He suggested, looking down at his feet, then back at me. I gave him a strange look.

"Step... on your feet? Wouldn't that hurt?" I asked him, worried. "Well, you're much smaller and lighter than I am, Cadis. So I don't think you would have to worry about hurting me." He chuckled. I took a deep breath, and stood on his feet. It worked out well, where his feet went, so did mine. Pretty soon we were gliding around on the balcony. It was like a fairytale. Dorian and I gazed into each other's eyes, and stopped dancing. Slowly, his lips reached mine, and we shared a kiss that seemed to last a lifetime. I knew I had found my Prince, or better yet.. he had found me.
