A/N: Oneshot, Once upon a time. Spoilers up to an Apple Red as Blood

Curse.

Emma Swan did not believe in curses. No matter how hard or how much Henry would tell her and try to convince her "the curse" was real, she would not believe it.

Maybe she was stubborn, or maybe she just didn't believe it. Everyone in Storybrooke, a fairytale character? That was not something that could be real.

Fairytales are made up stories for kids. Not real people living in the world under a curse.

The farther she got into it though, the more her confidence in her argument wavered. This of course only made her more stubborn. No way was she going to believe she had to save the whole town from a curse.

But as she watches Henry fall to the ground, apple turnover in hand, she can't hold out anymore.

"Henry?" she says softly. "Henry… Henry!" her voice more and more panicked and frantic as she says his name again and he doesn't answer.

Okay, maybe the curse is real. Maybe. But how in the world can she be a savior to Storybrooke? She had been named the savior of them all.

No one even asked her if she wanted it.

A/N: Because I think that Emma just doesn't want to believe the curse is real, because she's either afraid, stubborn, or maybe both. But I don't seriously think she would deny the curse after this happened to Henry...
