I hope you enjoy this, wrote it in about ten minutes, thank you.
Chess
Superman strode through the Watchtower that evening in a daydream; it had been quiet on Earth for the past few weeks, ever since the Justice Squad, a team of young superheroes that took care of the more modern problems, was formed.
Then, with a start, he realised there was no one in the halls, at all.
Have I missed an alarm? He thought with a panic.
No, Superman, said J'onn, come to the Training hall, you may find it quite amusing.
Superman flew to the Training Hall and walked in.
What he saw nearly made him cackle like the Joker.
Batman and Robin were sitting in the centre of the Training Hall, cross-legged, staring intently at a game of chess before them.
"Who's winning?" He asked Wonder Woman, who pointed at Robin.
"No one has ever beaten Batman at chess, not even J'onn, Robin has been playing Batman into a corner."
Superman watched as Batman reached for his Bishop, then pulled back his hand, studied Robin, who had remained placid faced, and reached for his Rook.
He moved it three places and took one of Robin's pawns.
Robin studied the board like it was a crime scene and moved his Queen in front of Batman's King.
"Checkmate."
Batman's jaw dropped, he stared at the board, his eyes flicking back and forth replaying the game in his head, and then swore under his breath.
"I can't believe it," he muttered.
Robin grinned cheekily at him.
"You shouldn't have moved that Rook," he pointed out, before standing and exiting the Training Hall. "I'm going home!"
This Robin is Danny Wilde, by the way, I had written this in a spur of the moment and just had to post it. I hope you enjoyed it.
