Cloud narrowed his eyes as he shifted his body, which was leaning on the wall of the bar. He was not one for drinking and that was why he had kept his distance. Everyone else in the gang were at the bar, enjoying a relaxing drink.

However, Cloud noticed that a certain flower girl was getting far too much attention from the barman and nobody in Avalanche was even attempting to push the man away from her. Cloud wanted to go over and pull her away but then he knew he would be faced with questions that he really didn't want to confront. They would all ask why he had reacted the way that he had and he knew that saying he was her bodyguard wouldn't be a good enough excuse.

But watching that pig flirt with her was making him angrier than Sephiroth had ever made him.

Her eyes suddenly locked onto his and she gave him a small smile and signaled for him to come over but Cloud remained where he was, glancing away from her. He was so absorbed in his thoughts that he didn't realise that she had approached him until he felt her nudge his arm gently.

"What's wrong?" she asked, moving to lean against the wall beside him but he still didn't look at her or give her an answer. She sighed. "Cloud?"

"What?" he muttered, glaring slightly.

"What's the matter?"

"Nothing."

"Then why are you being so cold towards me?" she demanded, standing in front of him and giving him a hard stare that let him know she wanted an answer now.

"Because of him," the blonde replied, jerking his head towards the bar. Aeris turned her head to see what he meant before she smiled a little and shook her head.

"Jealous?" she teased, her smile widening when he blushed a little and turned his head away. Aeris gave a little giggle before she touched his arm again. "Don't worry Cloud, it was only a laugh," she assured him before she moved closer to him and added. "Besides. my bodyguard is the best guy in the world."

Cloud blushed again as she gently touched her lips against his.
