Hi there, everyone! This is my first fanfic, and it was inspired by both my knowledge of the world of Redwall and the works of 2 good 2 kill, as well as the music of Lindsey Stirling. Now, I will state this here and now. If I abandon a fanfic, put it up for adoption, etc., I will tell you. I need to fit this around 2 AP courses and an honors course, so I will be busy. But, unless I tell you otherwise, my stories are still going.

Disclaimer: As much as I wish I did, I do not own the Halo franchise or Redwall.

Chapter One

This is insane. Completely and utterly insane.

These were the thoughts that ran through the mind of Chief Petty Officer Patrik-059, as he listened to the briefing. He had done all sorts of insane things in his illustrious career in the UNSC, but this topped the list.

Why the hell am I being dropped from here in an ODST drop pod IN SLIPSPACE?

He was on board the UNSC prowler Silence of the Night, about to get dropped in an experimental ODST drop pod designed to be dropped in slipspace, into a planet-full of Covenant all by himself. The lone wolf thing, he could handle. He was the sole user of the MJOLNIR Devastater-class Powered Assault Armor, especially after an incident at an unknown Forerunner facility on an unnamed world. He couldn't remember what had happened, but it let him make his armor appear and disappear at will, as well as use the Forerunner equivalent of his Devastator suit, though he could only use it when in a towering rage. With his Devastator suit, he was an army killer. The suit looked like his regular armor, except it had two layers of personal shielding, and insanely tough bubble-shield that didn't recharge, but could take a Wraith mortar and survive, 2 arm mounted chain guns, 1 arm-mounted gauss cannon, 1 arm-mounted spartan laser, and a pair of shoulder-mounted rocket launchers. (It closely resembles the battle suit in the Halo Legends short Prototype). It also had flight capabilities, and was big enough to hold him while he was in his regular armor.

Spartan-059 was a melee specialist. He enjoyed brutally executing his enemies in manners like ripping out spinal cords and beating the person it came from with it, and other such methods. He was highly skilled with any blade, as his main weapon in CQC was his Titanium-A wrist-blades. Surprisingly, he also had a great sense of humor, and was the most outgoing Spartan, acting like a normal person around his friends, both Spartan and non-Spartan.

"Are you paying attention, Spartan?"

"Yes sir!"

"Yeah? Then what was my last statement?"

"That I am on my own out there for a week, sir!"

"Good, you were paying attention. Let's move out!"

Patrik was strapping himself into his ODST pod, grumbling about how crazy this was.

"You aren't leaving without me, are you?"

"Oh, hey Sheila. Of course I wasn't. I was just seeing if you were paying attention."

"Uh huh. You forgot, didn't you?"

"I...uh...weeeellllll...um...yes."

"Thought so."

Sheila was an experimental Smart A.I., who had worked with Patrik for 6 years. She was experimental in that, if her new protocols worked, she would be immune to rampancy. They had gone through hell together, and they were extremely close.

WARNING: PODS LAUNCHING IN 1 MINUTE

"Better hurry Sheila," remarked Patrik, "I waited for you long enough, and if you're late, then I may just leave you waiting around for another guy like me, which you'll never find."

"Whatever."

1 minute later...

There was a bang as the pod was launched.

"AND here we go on another exciting adventure. I betcha that this pod will fail at the worst time ever."

Alarms began to blare the instant they were beyond the point that their ship could help them.

"Called it."

There was a loud roaring sound, then Patrik passed out.

Meanwhile, it was a warm night at Redwall. It had been twelve seasons, to the day, since the battle against Cluny the Scourge. There had been a big feast at Redwall to celebrate, and at the moment, Matthias and Cornflower were gazing up at the stars.

Cornflower broke the silence with the comment, "That was a great feast, wasn't it, Matthias?"

"Yes, Cornflower, yes it was.", he replied.

Out of nowhere, a shooting star streaked across the skies, burning brightly.

"Make a wish, Cornflower."

She squeezed her eyes shut for a few seconds, then looked at Matthias.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

!

Birds took flight in terror as what appeared to be a shooting star flew in from out of nowhere and slammed into the ground with a devastating boom. It sat there, clanking as it cooled and settled. It sat there until daybreak, undisturbed. Then, a nose poked its way into the clearing, followed by the hare it belonged to. She was dressed in the famed Long Patrol uniform, and exclaimed upon seeing the mysterious object embedded in a rock outcropping, "I say, you chaps, come and have a look at this!"

The rest of her unit came in to have a look, making remarks about the odd object that they saw. Then they all jumped and ran for cover as a string of curses issued forth from the metal object that would make a drunk sailor blush.

Patrik was in a foul mood. He had awoken to find out that he had a splitting headache and other aches and pains, and found, upon awakening, that Sheila was swearing at him.

"You wake the fuck up, soldier! You better not die on me and leave me all on my lonesome out here, because that is not the way to treat a fucking lady! I-

"That's funny, you being a lady and all, with that cursing streak you got."

Sheila countered in a relieved tone, "That's rich, coming from you."

"All right, time to go, if you are done, that is."

Shelia replied, "Yeah, I'm good, but the explosive bolts were already fired."

Patrik frowned. All ODST drop pods had explosive bolts equipped to their door in case the door didn't open or it malfunctioned. He ran over this, then slowly responded, "But, there isn't any...way...out...OH SON OF A MOTHER-FUCKING BITCH! (And other cursing that I refuse to print here for fear that it will utterly destroy your computer screen.)

So, what do you think? Not bad for a first time, eh? How will Patrik react to the world of Redwall? And don't worry, there will be plenty of bloodshed later on. If you want me to do some dramatic development of my OC 059, then ask. Sorry if the scene transition markers didn't get put up. Read and review.
