He was nervous. She held his hand and her body close as they swayed across the grass. She wanted to dance but he had never danced before in his life. He was stumbling but they kept moving.

"Rythian, You're shaking." Zoey said, leading him around the lights that littered the ground.

"I told you. I've never danced before." He grumbled, almost tripping again. "I'm only doing this because you asked me to."

Zoey giggled, but said nothing as she continued to sway. The lights lit up her eyes, and the soothing sounds of the night welcomed her gentle movements. She was a beautiful dancer. As if she had lived only do so. Rythian was trapped in her gaze.

She smiled at his softening expression that met hers, "You're moving more gracefully. See, dancing is easy. Anyone can do it."

He nodded, feeling his body begin to follow hers. Easy was not how he would describe this but it was growing on him. The nervousness he had was fading in the night and he wanted to move like her.

She was pleasantly surprised as he took her place and began twirling her around with graceful ease. They whirled all around as the lights danced in both their eyes. He didn't think about what he was doing. He just moved how he wanted. "Is this good?"

"It's amazing," she said, impressed. "You must have been lying when you said you couldn't dance."

"I wasn't lying," He assured her even though he knew she was teasing. "But I'll never be as radiant as you."

"Is that so?" She pulled him into her. "What are you trying to say?"

Their dancing dwindled down into a soft sway as they looked into each others eyes. Rythian was a bit puzzled by the question. "I'm saying that you are a beautiful dancer."

"Hmm..." She playfully glared at him. "Just my dancing?"

His face grew slightly red at the question. Now he realized what she meant by that and he wasn't ready to answer. "Well-"

Cutting him off, She stepped away, giggling again . "I'm just messing with you." The light around them began to die out and the dark was moving in. Something about that question wasn't so innocent. She wanted an answer but was afraid to hear it. "Sometimes, you are too fun to mess with..."

"Zoey, I..." Light after light, their sight was darkening. Soon, they would no longer see the fire in each others eyes but Rythian wanted to say it before he lost the will. "I think you're beautiful, Zoey. Everything about you..."

The last light dwindled away and the two stood in the darkness. His words lingering between them. He didn't expect any answer from her. He expected the dark to cover his confession and yet there was no way that would be true.

After what felt like hours, her embrace enveloped him tightly. "I know, silly." She chuckled in his ear, "That confession was not very radiant..."

He rolled his eyes, "Oh, hush. If you knew the answer, why did you ask?"

"Like I said," She kissed his cheek. "Messing with you is fun."

He chuckled as well as he embraced her back. "Fair enough..."

A/N: Zoey is the only one who could get Rythian to dance. That's for sure.
