A/N: I wrote this one a long time ago. I didn't originally intend it to be a fanfic, so I had to edit it. Anyway, I hope you enjoy! :)
I looked out the window. She was standing alone near the lake. Her eyes were closed and her long reddish-blond hair was down. Rose petals were scattered at her feet. It was as though she didn't have a care in the world.
It started to rain. I wanted to call out to her and tell her to come inside the house, but I held back. I was curious as to what she was going to do.
She opened her eyes. A smile spread across her face as the raindrops fell. I, too, couldn't help a smile as I watched her.
Slowly, she raised her arms as if to welcome the rain, tilting back her head as she did so. Laughing, she began to dance.
As she twirled, she turned my way and caught my eye. She held out her hands, beckoning me to join her. Her jade eyes twinkled merrily.
The next thing I knew, I was out the door, walking towards her. She smiled as she called my name.
Thunder rumbled overhead as I took her hand and joined her as she danced.
