Okay, this is my first Ice Age FanFiction, and it's based around my favourite animated character, Louis

Anyway, here's the story.

The Day I Finally Realized

Peaches and Louis walked through the forest of their new home. They had spent so much time exploring Switch-back Cove and were now having an easy stroll.

"Hey, Peaches," Louis asked Peaches with a nervous look in his eyes.

"Yeah, Louis," Peaches responded.

"I need to tell you something," Louis said, "Could we find somewhere a little more secluded?"

"Louis, it's the woods," Peaches giggled, "There's nowhere more secluded."

"O-okay, w-well, Peaches, I like you," Louis stuttered out.

"I like you too," Peaches replied.

"Not like that," Louis corrected himself, "I like, like you. Um. I mean..."

"Louis, just take a breath, I don't understand what your trying to say,"

Louis did so, taking a long inhale before speaking, " Peaches, I love you, always have, always will."

Peaches was struck with sudden shock, yet, at the same time, the same tingle she got when she was with Ethan, only stronger.

"Louis, I..." She started before Louis, tearing and pained, cut her off unintentionally, "Urgh! I'm such an idiot,I-I'm sorry, Peaches," with that, he started to cry and dug in the other direction.

"Louis! Wait!" Peaches shouted back to him, "Louis, please stop!"

The trail of raised dirt stopped and Louis, eyes red with tears, came back out of the ground.

"What?" Louis tearfully asked.

Peaches wrapped her trunk around her best friend and pulled him into a close hug, "Oh, Louis. Please don't cry," she pleaded, "I love you as well."

"Not like I do," Louis rubbed his red eyes.

"Louis, I always had that tingle of love for Ethan," Peaches said," When you told me that you love me, I felt a stronger tingle then ever before. I know for sure, that I love no one more than you."

"R-really?" Louis asked

"Really," Peaches replied, "Now, considering you're my "boyfriend", what do you think of a first date."

Louis wiped his sparkling brown eyes clear and smiled back at her, his heart soaring, "I'd love that."

"Okay then," Peaches smiled, "Let's go!"

That night, Louis and Peaches spent a wonderful night together, and neither had ever been happier.
