Her life was slipping through her fingers but she still managed to shakily send one last text.
Blood ran down her arms and dripped on the screen, making the keys slippery and hazed over her vision, but she still managed to type; her fingers remembering what to do.
She took in quick shallow breaths of air, her chest heaving at the effort as pain spasmed up from her leg and side and down her arm from her mangled shoulder.
Her arms shook, and she could see blackness dance across her vision.
She had almost finished.
She just had to send this one message, and then everything would be okay.
She heard footsteps approach and her heart beat quickened involuntarily.
He was coming back.
Coming back to finish her off.
But she was almost done… so it'd be okay.
She felt herself going numb and growing strangely warm…
The pool of blood was growing beneath her and her strength was failing, she barely had the energy to remain slumped against the row of lockers.
Her feet were numb, and up her cheerio's uniform the dark stain spread.
With one last look at the world she pressed send and prayed that it would work.
The phone clattered to the floor, covered in blood that had once been hers.
Her hands hung limp by her side, no longer even attempting to staunch the blood flow.
The footsteps rounded the corner and she smiled sadly.
The gun cocked and she felt it press against her temple.
She didn't look up.
She didn't want her last memory to be of him.
Instead she looked to her wrist and at the bracelet Brittany had brought for her a long time ago.
She felt a tear run down her cheek at the injustice of it all.
She took in one last breath and whispered her goodbyes.
Somewhere in the school, hiding in a closet, a girl was hunched against another. Her blonde hair fell over her face and masked her tears.
A gun shot rang out, and in her pocket her phone vibrated.
Goodbye Brittany, I love you so much- Santana.
