All that could be seen in the halls of Wammy's House was a blur of red, black, and white. Even though a majority of kids were still asleep at six in the morning, this one wasn't. They ran to Roger's office, and woke the sleeping senior.

"Roger! Roger! Mello has run away!" yelled the red head, better known as Matt.

"Hugn? What?" Roger asked still waking up from the boy's rude –and very early- intrusion.

Matt, still distraught, began pacing slowly and speaking inaudible speed. Roger only caught every fourth or fifth word.

"Matt, calm down. What happened?" Roger grabbed the boy by the back of his shirt, trying to get him to calm down, but it wouldn't work.

Matt had fallen asleep in front of his X-Box. He had made sure that Mello was still there after he came back from Roger's office, as the blond had been 'summoned by Kira himself', as he had put it. Mello was sleeping when he had fallen into a slumber.

When Mello's alarm went off, Matt woke up, only to find a noisy silence and a lack of chocolate sent in the room. Matt assumed that the moody blond had just gotten up earlier than the alarm, and went outside, with a lot of chocolate, so he could think.

Matt quickly washed up and got dressed, but that's when he figured out Mello had run away. All of the blond's clothes were gone. Everything of the blond's was gone.

Matt ran to his side of the room, going though his emergency stash of cash, only to find a single note saying:

See ya, Mail. Will remember you, but Kira must pay. You're always my friend. –Mihael

Matt curled up against Roger's desk, weeping and murmuring incoherently. The old man had only seen this happen once, and that was when someone committed suicide and the person who found him went insane and started killing people.

Roger looked out the window where there were four unmarked graves. Three suicide victims and the serial killer. There were two empty plots, as well. The graves were never marked, nor will they be. Everyone at Wammy's was equal, whether they were first or fifth, they were equal.

"Roger?"

"Yes, Matt?"

"Can I have a few thousand dollars? To replace the money Mello stole from me?"

"Uh sure?" Roger passed the red-head the money he had requested.

Matt nodded and walked outside the building all together, where there were bags hidden under some bushes.

"Don't you dare go far, Mihael," he whispered as he stepped out the gates of Wammy's House. "I am coming to get you. Best friends don't let each other do stupid things... alone."
