Disclaimer: Sadly, I don't own the show, the boys, or the network. Don't hate, don't sue =)

Another warning: This story contains typical Dean Winchester chauvinism. Endearing Jerk.

I'd like to thank my wonderful Betas: Jennifer & MagicianMana

Dear readers: I always have a million stories I want to finish but this has been lying around for a while, just begging to be written.
In case you were looking for an update on A Very Supernatural Halloween - this is funny, too. In case you were looking for the last part of the trilogy - I promise I'll get to it as soon as I can. I hope you'll have fun with this.

LUCKY CHARMS

Dean gave the girl one of his wolfish smiles before he licked the frosting off his index finger.
Watching the slight flush spread on her cheeks, he winked, satisfied that the trap was set.
It was almost too easy usually, nothing like a real hunt, more like a deer caught in the headlights.

Today's prey wasn't nearly as sure game as the usual barfly, he'd give her that.
In fact, for a few seconds there he had even wondered if she wouldn't see right through what he was pulling off.

Judging by the way she was eyeing him now, though, he could tell dessert would be on the house.
Apparently, the way he'd let his fingers 'accidentally' meet hers when she handed him the pie had been her undoing.

He took another bite of the chocolate cake, rolling it around on his tongue to savor the rich flavor and then licked his lips.
He could tell the exact moment the trap snapped shut – she picked up the coffee pot and leisurely strolled over to their booth.

"You boys want a refill?" she asked, leaning slightly forward on the backrest of the seat.
Sam smiled at her and held up his cup, munching away happily.

Dean was two steps into getting them free pie, the third was the hardest. Making her believe you were different.

Under her curious eyes, he took the cookie they'd been served along with the coffee and put it on Sam's plate.
For the fragment of a moment Sam's forehead crinkled with confusion, but his little brother was quick on the uptake.

"Thanks man, I always eat mine first," he said, flashing Dean a bright, dimpled smile before putting the whole cookie in his mouth.

For a quick second the thought about reaching over to ruffle Sam's hair, but that would have been overdoing it.

Dean grinned back generously, letting his left foot touch Sam's under the table and kicking him lightly.
If it weren't for the hole in their wallet he wouldn't have shared at all and Sam knew that.

The brunette smiled obliviously, producing another cookie from her apron.
"Brothers, hm? Mine always wanted my Lucky Charms and then just left me with an empty box and the prize."

Dean looked up, mumbling, "Uh, I'm an awful brother mostly. It just takes a lot of cookies to sustain Sammy here."

"Yeah, sometimes he can be a real jerk!" Sam threw in, scowling.

The girl laughed and shook her head. "Doesn't look like it. Anyways, we're closing in a few. Do you want one for the road?"

Sam looked up and eyed Dean questioningly.
Wow, what one cookie could do. Usually Sam would have thrown in 'Just the check, please' before the poor girl could even open her mouth.

"No, thank you."

When the check came, there was nothing on the house. Sam paid.
The bitch had apparently hidden his recently won poker money so Dean wouldn't spend it on gas or ammo.

When the diner's door closed behind them, Sam matched his gait to Dean's and bent down to singsong, "I knew you couldn't do it. Not after the Lucky Charms."

"Shut up."

"No really, it's kinda cute how you go all melancholic sometimes."

And the little bastard ruffled his hair.
