To My Dearest, Best, & Only Friend, Sasami
Hello again, my dear, sweet Sasami!
I know I've been busy, and you have, as well
But I just had to stop and take the time
To tell you I think you're really swell!
I know you might be a little upset
After everything I did to Tenchi
But please, just finish reading this poem
Which I created just for you, especially!
I know Ayeka and the other girls
Are telling you that I'm evil and bad
They don't understand that what I truly am
Is lonely, depressed, and extremely sad
You see, that's why I really need you here
In my big, black, empty world, dear Sasami
Because I know all this loneliness would end
If you and your smile were here with me
But in case you don't believe me yet
I think it's time to tell you some
Of the really bad things that might happen

With her big, bad hair
Might find that it's not much fun
Sitting in an electric chair
Kione & Mihoshi, the police women
While crusing around on patrol
Could get hit by a huge meteor
And spin out of control
And your big sister, Princess Ayeka
Might get terribly, horribly ill
If things don't exactly go
According to my will
Let's not forget your friend, Tenchi
Who I've already badly hurt
He could end up (or down) lying
Under six feet of dirt
And your cute little cabbit
Though I care for her so
Could get run over by a race car
Even if it was going pretty slow
I don't really want these bad things
To happen in your life, dear Sasami
And that's all the more reason
For you to be here with me
We could be best friends again
And no one would ever get in the way
Besides, even if they tried to steal you
I'd just blow them away
Well, I have to say bye for now
There's lots of work to be done
I want the place to be just perfect
When you arrive for our fun
If those friends of yours ever hurt you
You can always come here and cry with me
I won't be lonely, nor will you be sad
Since we'll be best friends for eternity.
