Lillie, Sun, and Hau were together once more, walking down the streets of Maile City. Sun had the title of Alola's Champion, while Hau had taken Hala's spot as Kahuna and Lillie had become a Gym Leader in Kanto. Just 3 years ago had Lillie ventured across Alola with Sun and Hau, watching them brave tough trials and work towards their final goal; the Pokemon League. Of course, their journey wasn't that simple. They had to fight the evil forces of Team Skull and the Aether Foundation. Sadly, after an incident with Lillie's mother in Ultra Space, she had died shortly after as Lillie attempted to save her in Kanto. This caused something to spark inside the young girl, promoting her to go across the region and attempt to succeed at the Pokémon League there. Guzma, the leader of Team Skull, had gone on to become and Elite 4 member in Hala's place, as Hau was not ready to take on that responsibility yet. Gladion, Lillie's sister and the previous enforcer of Team Skull, had disappeared mysteriously after Lusamine's death.
"Boy, it sure is hot out here!" Hau said with a grin. "I can't believe Alola doesn't have seasons. It's just hot all year long." Lillie replied. "I know, but this is just a lot hotter than usual..." "Some days are hotter than others you know." Hau smiled. "I guess you're right, Lillie!" Sun stopped the conversation between the two. "Shall we go to the malasada shop in downtown Maile?" Hau nodded faster than ever before. "Oh yes!" Sun grinned. "Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!" The trio started running down the street, heading for the shop that awaited them farther down. Meanwhile, someone was watching them from afar...
"Sir, I have located the suspect." A boy with blonde hair walked over to the computer. The computer's operator was a female, no older than 14. "Indeed. That is Sun Elio, champion of Alola." The blonde boy grinned. "Good job, Moon. I think you've earned your paycheck for this week." The girl, called Moon, smiled and stood up. "Thank you boss!" The boy went over to the computer. "Computer?" He called. "Yes, Master?" It replied. "Prepare to send the weapon there." "Request acknowledged." The computer replied. The blonde boy smiled an evil smile. "You will pay for the death of my mother, Sun."
