Holes writing
As an assignment I was told to right about mementos of holes as I had 3 to do it was destiny, love and bullies. Throughout the book they keep showing that these are main things to look at in your life. as I look in my life I do not see it the way Louis does. As I will explain below….
In the book holes the author had moral lessons throughout the book. Louis Sachar point of love is… love gives comfort safety and support. As he gave quotes in the book, "On more than one occasion, she would start to read a poem by Poe or Longfellow only to hear him finish it for her, from memory." In this line they share a love for the same thing, poetry. They also bound and fall in love with each other through poetry. "What scared him the most about dying wasn't his actual death …death would be a relief what worried him the was the thought of his parents not knowing what happened to him, not knowing if he was dead or alive…for his parents, the pain would never end." This is a quilt that shows how he feels love for his parents and how they feel.
My second theme is destiny me and Louis sachar have two different opinions. He believes that we can find our destiny by being brave where I think that we make our own destiny. "Stanley's father was smart and had a lot of perseverance he just never had any luck." He thinks that he was saying that a curse was holding him off. I just think that he was not meant to racial sneakers but to take the smell away. "Alas poor Elya should have carried his pig up the mountain one last time. The pigs weighted exactly the same." I think that he was not meant to be with him but with a girl that can do farm work and talk inelegantly.
As my last theme I have picked bullies. Louis Sachar's definition is all bullies are punished. I agree that bullies are punished somehow If not in this life then another life. I also think bullies are made out of depression or that they are just too spoiled to care about others. "the mob was turning over desks and ripping down bulletin boards." This is bulling because they are destroying the school. It was led by trout because Catherin kissed Sam and would not go out with him. "The campers are forbidden to lie in the hammock. It belongs to the warden. The warden owns the shade." this I think that this is bulling cause they are forced to dig holes for her selfish reason. She could at least share the shade.
