"But Father, he bores me." Kagome sighed deeply, speaking about Prince Hojo. Mamoru patted her on the head and laughed.
"EVERYTHING bores you!" he shook his head. "I think he is the one. He's a very wealthy, young prince. I've spoke with him a few times and he seems like a good man."
"He has the personality of a spoon." Kagome folded her arms angrily.
"I guess I technically can't force you down the aisle... But Kagome I have already picked out 13 men and you haven't showed interest in any of them. Atleast you went on a second date with this one. That honestly impresses me. Well, father has some work to do. Dinner will be brought up to you shortly."
"Dad I can go get my own food!" Kagome threw her fist up in the air out of frustration as her father just exited the room. She decided to open one of her most favorite books until she received a knock on the door. "Come in!" she said sweetly, folding the book back up and putting it back on the shelf. A young man with long, silver hair and bright amber eyes entered the room. Holding a platter of food, wearing an all red kimono. This was no man, it was a demon; Kagome realized that as soon as she seen his ears. He stood there with the food for a moment, then placed it on the ground and started to walk away. "Excuse me?" Kagome raised an eyebrow. "I'm not a barbarian, I don't eat food off the ground."
"My apologies." he said, scooping the platter back up. "Did you want me to feed it to you, too?" he sneered.
Kagome despised getting mocked for things like that. "Who are you? I've never even seen you before, you must not know me, coping an attitude like that."
"I'm Inuyasha, I'm completely aware of who you are. A spoiled little girl who has had everything handed to her. Are you ready for a plot twist?" Inuyasha dropped the platter on the ground, rubbed his foot into it, then spit on it. He looked her directly in the eyes while doing so and couldn't help but crack a smile. She stared at his fangs nervously. "Now you enjoy that dinner, sweetheart." he winked at her then left the room, slamming the door behind him. Kagome just stood there, completely shocked, jaw dropped and everything. She had never had anyone treat her like that in her life. She jumped out of her room and he stopped walking and looked back at her.
"YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING TO GET AWAY WITH THAT?!" Kagome yelled as she charged at him.
"Chill out princess, before you hurt yourself." Inuyasha teased as she tried punching him, he dodged each attempt smoothly. When suddenly Mamoru walked into the hall.
"What's going on here?" he sounded angry.
"Oh nothing!" Kagome smiled sweetly. "I accidently dropped my dinner and I was asking Inuyasha to please fetch me another." she glanced at Inuyasha, and he just stared at Master Mamoru, awaiting a reply.
"Ah yes! I thought I heard yelling." Mamoru shrugged.
"Nooooooooooo!" Kagome giggled. "How silly father, you should get your ears checked."
"I guess so? But I'm going back down to the library. Enjoy your dinner my lovely daughter!" he walked down the stairs.
"My lowvlyy wittle dawterr!" Inuyasha mocked Kagome again. "So why didn't you tell on me just now?"
"I think I'm going to enjoy having you as a servant." she laughed evilly. "Now go fetch my dinner, dog boy!" she rubbed his ear playfully, winked at him, then skipped to her room. Inuyasha was puzzled by this girl, maybe there was more to her than he imagined.
