Ribbons, Kenny had always wondered why Dawn liked to wear ribbons. She wore them to preschool, as part of her contest outfit and recently at a wedding of a Twinleaf town resident. Despite this, Kenny found them to be fitting for Dawn.
His older twin sisters, Lyra and Leaf always complained that he and their older brother Gary didn't understand why girls wear hair accessories. It was true that he didn't understand why, but he concluded that it was human nature to look presentable. Especially if they came from influential families, like Dawn and himself.
So when Dawn's birthday was approaching, he bought her some pink and blue hair ribbons. The pink ones were attached to rubber bands and blue ones were attached to hair clips. Dawn appreciated them; she enjoyed wearing them because her grandmother Lauren Berlitz, used to tie her midnight blue hair into ponytails and adding a ribbon on top. She wore them because she liked them, and I remember her grandmother.
