"Jack!" Owen said loudly as he stood at the door of Jack's office, an annoyed look on his features. Owen had been standing at the doorway for at least three minutes before Jack looked up from his daze. He just hadn't been himself recently.

"Sorry; i was somewhere else. What is it, Owen?" Jack asked, flashing his usual, toothy grin.

Owen rolled his eyes and motioned with his thumb towards the cork door of the Hub, "I'm leaving now. Star should be getting into Cardiff International at five thirty."

The confused look that he recieved from Jack proved the point he had been making to Gwen, Ianto and Toshiko only an hour before; he hadn't been listening to any of them all week.

Owen grudgely continued, "Starlie Harper, my little sister? She's been in America for the last four years at school. I told you that I had to leave early today to pick her up from the airport. Remember?"

Jack nodded his head, but the blank expression didn't banish from his features. After a moment of silence, Jack looked towards his computer and tapped in a few keys. His frown deepened, "You didn't tell me you had a sister. It's not in your personal files."

"It was none of Torchwood's buisness. There was always the chance she could end up dead if someone was trying to kill us and got those files. I couldn't risk it." Owen stated, his eyes not protraying the sadness that he really felt at the prospect of losing his sister.

Jack nodded his understanding and went back to staring into space, defining the end of the conversation.

Leaving the office and the Hub, Owen felt a rare bubble of excitement in his viens. He hadn't seen Star since the last time she was in London for their fathers funeral and they hadn't really had much of a chance to catch up.

Star was the only family that Owen had left, since their parents were both dead and they had lost touch with all of their other relitives years before.

Owen had only just turned into the airport parking lot when he decided that he would tell Star about his work, his job, about his new life and his new friends. He just prayed that Star wouldn't stumble into the world of Torchwood before Owen had a chance to explain everything to her.

He jumped out of the car and quickly made his way to the arrivals lounge. He had only been there for ten minutes when he saw the plane land and the mass of people flocking into the lounge.

The final person to come of the plane was a girl in her early twenty's, who had thick chocolate brown hair that hung in loose curls half way down her back and deep blue eyes that would have put the atlantic to shame.

Owen grinned as the girl ran over to him, a perfect smile on her lips as she hugged him tightly.

Owen whispered softly into her ear, "Welcome home, sis."

Star replied with a simple, "Glad to be here."
