Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha; I don't even know why that thought would even cross your mind.

A Thing Called Happiness

A Collection of Inuyasha Drabbles

Chapter One: For You

Kagome watched the blur of silver and red before her as it moved quickly from one spot to another, her eyes wide as saucers with surprise and amusement. She wondered if she should tell him that he was doing it all wrong, that there was no way he could do it right with the materials he was using. Shippo was perched on her right shoulder, blinking his green eyes in bewilderment and then scoffing when he realized what Inuyasha was actually doing.

"You know, you don't have to build me a new bike Inuyasha." Kagome finally said, deciding not to burst his bubble and tell him he was being an idiot—and that the thing he had just produced did not look anything remotely like a bicycle. Hers had broken in a recent battle with a spider youkai, much to her dismay. At first, Inuyasha didn't really seem to care. However, as soon as she said she'd go back home to have it repaired, he'd completely changed his tune.

"Keh," was the only thing he said in reply. She just doesn't get it, Inuyasha would think to himself. Maybe if he could build her the things from her time himself, she wouldn't need to go back so much. Maybe if he could show her that she didn't need any of those things…

Then maybe she'd realize that he would be willing to give her anything she could ever want.

FIN.

Author's Note: I thought I would give the whole drabble thing a try, since it's not a big of a commitment as writing a multiple-chapter story—which I don't think I'm ready for yet. I've had writer's block for, like, ever and I thought this would be a good way for me to get out of it. There will be a lot more coming soon, so let me know what you think!
