Author's note: This is my very first story for fanfic! I was re-watching Threads last night on DVR. I just loved the ending and a different take on it popped in my head. Try not to be too hard on me, no beta reader. My poor heart couldn't take it.

Minnesota. Jack's Cabin.

"This is great", Sam whispered as the late morning sunlight broke through the clouds and warmed her face.

"I told ya", Jack mumbled as he stretched out his legs.

Sam looked across at Jack and smiled seductively. Following suit, she also stretches out the stiffness in her arms.

"I can't believe we didn't do this years ago", she lazily mentioned, to no one in particular.

Jack returned the smile as he pondered what she was suggesting.

"Yes, well, let's not dwell."

Jack couldn't help feeling a sensation of wonder and awe as his eyes roamed slowly up and down her perfect body. Sam felt his eyes on her and started to blush.

Turning her attention away from Jack, she propped up on her elbows and looked out the window that overlooked his backyard.

"There are no fish in this pond, are there?" she asked, her voice cracking a bit.

Jack was too busy tracing his finger down the side of her body, naked except for the bed sheet that covered her waist. He almost didn't hear the question.

"No."

Sam giggles as she looks at him. Daniel and Teal'c won't arrive until later in the afternoon so they were in no hurry to leave the room.

Jack reeled Sam back under the covers, causing her to give a little squeal of excitement. As they continue to explore their new found relationship, Jack could only think: "Nice!"
