A Little Too Tasty

He sat up slowly, the uncomfortable metal bars at his back urging him upward. The scents of cinnamon and ginger surrounded him, pungent enough to tickle his nose, causing him to sneeze. Nonplussed, he blinked, turning toward his brother who was just reaching vertical. He gasped in shock. Painted blue shirt. Wild squiggly hair. Chocolate brown eyes and a red moue of a mouth.
"Dude!"
"What?"
"We—w-we've…uhhh…been turned into Gingerbread Men!"
"Holy crap!"
"You know what's even more disturbing?"
"More disturbing than THIS?"
"Yeah. We've been BAKED!"
"I can beat that."
"Really? How?"
"We're about to get eaten! Run!"
