Concoction

It was a strange concoction, he thought with a wisp of a smile. Inside his walls she had taken refuge, and he had become her open prison. He knew she could leave, but he knew she would not. He rose and she fell, and he rose higher and she fell further. This white innocence was deadly, a violent poison creeping up her skin.

She stumbled into his darkness, thinking she held the light. She had a foolish wish to save him, because she was a young girl. Because he made her childish heart beat faster, and made heat rush to her cheeks. And she brought him what he needed. It was with calculated mechanics that he lowered her into his bed, and it was with a teenage passion that she opened her legs to receive him.

And now, she marched, her chakra streaming from her as she attempted to keep her child warm in the midst of a frigid snowfall. She held power in her arms, and she knew it, a mass of chakra beating with the force of ages. But what she saw was different, a tiny boy, who had clasped himself deep in Hinata's gushing heart. And on she marched, her gasps and moans drowned out by a baby's wailing. In her cloudy mind she pushed away the thought that this was impossible, and that she was going to die here, out in the middle of the freezing snow. And in her death… She tightened her grip on the small bundle.

Or her would find her, and take her baby and her bloodline. The Byakagen alerted her to his pursuit, and she sunk into the deep banks. Her chest heaved as she plunged the child deep into the snow; she sobbed as he drowned beneath her shaking fingers.

Her cry cut into the frozen air, and when Itachi found her, she was huddled deep in red snow. She had been pure until her had tainted her with those burning red eyes.

He had been perfect until he had taken her, been flawless until his concoction lay dead at his feet. He turned and left her there, for she was a failed experiment. Her death had been in vain, because next time, he would be perfect.
