"Kanda, could you get me a drink of water?" Allen asks, his chapped and fading lips emitting a hoarse whisper.

Kanda boys his boyfriend wordlessly, sad that it has come to this.

That Allen Walker is quickly dying of cancer.

Allen takes a sip from the water glass Kanda hands him, relaxing into the hospital's pillows and blankets. Allen smiles faintly at his boyfriend.

"Thank you." Allen says, then sighs. "Kanda? I want you to have all my things. When I die, I mean. You and Lenalee can choose what you want to keep and sell the rest."

"Alle-"

"Cab you bury me in red black and white? They're my favorite colors." Allen smiles, cosign his eyes. Allen is in no way young, 23, but coming to terms with his death was really only hard because of one little thing. Kanda. He doesn't want to leave Kanda.

"Allen, you're not going anywhere." Kanda says, Isn't Kanda supposed to be the pessimist? Allen opens his eyes, surprised to see his boyfriend leaning over to kiss him. Allen shifts his head to the side, avoiding the lips.

"Kanda…" Allen says as Kanda pulls back.

"Kiss me, Allen." Kanda says softly, commanding the frail man.

Allen shakes his head. "I will not kiss you."

"Why not?" Kanda asks, worried Allen doesn't want him at his sickbed.

No, it's his deathbed,

""Cause the hardest part of this," he motions to the hospital room, "is leaving you."

Kanda ignores his lover's wishes, kissing him chastely on the lips. "You'er not going anywhere." He whispers, pulling out of the kiss.

TIME LAPSE.

Allen sees Kanda begin to enter the room. The doctors said something about saying goodbyes today. "Don't come in!" He yells, desperate for Kanda to not have to see him like this.

"What is it. Moyashi?" Kanda says worriedly, stepping into Allen's room. Kanda almost gasps. All of Allen's hairs have abandoned all of his body, and his eyes show the agony he's in.

"Don't look at me!" Allen tries, trying to hide himself from Kanda.

"Allen, don't be ashamed." Kanda says, sitting on the edge of Allen's bed.

Allen nods slowly, then shakily begins to laugh. "Baby, I'm just soggy from the chemo. I'm sorry."

"It's fine. As long as you never call me 'baby' again."

Allen chuckles weakly. "At least you know I'm never going to get married."

"What do you mean?" Kanda asks. He's not stupid, he just can't find Allen's drift.

"They're counting down the days to go." Allen says sadly.

"Alle-"

"Kanda, it just ain't living!" Allen yells in a rare burst of energy.

Kanda hugs the dying boy, trying to comfort him. "Now, why don't you tell me what's really wrong?"

"Kanda… Don't come tomorrow. Or ever again." Allen says with steel resolve.

"Why not?" Kanda asks, concerned and curios about his boyfriend's mood swings. "Because… if you say goodbye…. I'd ask you to be true." Allen says, a silent tear dripping down his face he breaks out of Kanda's hug.

"Allen…"

"Just go!" Allen yells. "Yuu, just go! Dying is already hard enough, I don't need to add to the hurt by leaving you too!"

The End. Review
