Quint's Last Stand (aka Quint's Death)

(I do not own Jaws. This is a scene from the 1975 blockbuster film Jaws.)

Quint and Chief Brody had just pulled up the cage that Hooper had been in. The cage had been destroyed and Hooper was not in there. Brody shook his head as Quint looked out towards the ocean. Quint froze. He thought he heard something moving in the water. The great white suddenly jumped out of the water and onto the boat.

Chief and Quint ran into the cabin. The weight of the shark was causing the starboard side of the ORCA to sink. Martin and Quint had fallen down and were desperately trying to hold on. Quint was holding onto a shelf. Brody was holding onto the sink. An air tank had rolled onto Quint's fingers crushing them.

"Oooooww!" he yelled. He let go of the shelf. In a desperate attempt to stay alive he grabbed for the Chief's hand, but Brody just couldn't hold him. Quint went sliding forward towards the shark.

Quint screamed as he kicked his legs trying so hard not to become this fish's next snack. Brody slid, trying to reach the unlucky man.

Quint was panting loudly as he tried hard to kick the shark. But, the shark opened his mouth and crunched hard on Quint's chest.

Quint screamed so loudly that you could hear it from the nearby island. He grabbed a sharp weapon and jabbed it in the great white's skin. But it wasn't helping. The shark shook his head back and forth. Quint continued screaming as blood starting coming out of his mouth. Brody couldn't dare watch this gruesome sight. The shark continued shaking back and forth. The shark crunched harder and the last thing that Quint did was squirt blood out of his mouth like a hose. Then he remained motionless as the shark dragged him to the bottom of the ocean forever, leaving Chief alone on the sinking ORCA.
