Synopsis: In a world where people with superpowers known as "Quirks" exist, people started to look forward to the type of special ability they can possess. It was like a world out of a fairy tale where everyone seems to be happy and all dreams turn to reality, but with the constant evolution these quirks undergo in every generation, who's to say a powerful quirk won't turn one into a nightmare?
Notice: This is a work of fiction and I don't own anything from MHA. The OC is and will be overpowered as hell. The story will focus mostly on MHA cast's perspective. Main story deviation may occur in the future. Characters may be subjected to OOC. You have been informed. That is all. Enjoy.

Be Good
Be good for the first time
I thought I saw the devil this morning.
This was what Shota Aizawa, the hero Eraser Head told himself as soon as the whole ordeal was over.
It was a gruesomely hot day for a villain attack.
In a certain city, a whole park was decimated. It was replaced by a wide shallow crater of rubble and bodies littered the ground, crushed and bloody. Some were still recognizable, most weren't. From what witnesses understood, two heroes and a couple of villains were mixed in the heaps of corpses under the awful wreckage.
As the smoke and dust cleared, the cause of such a deathly scene in broad daylight was revealed - a single child, completely untouched and unstained standing in the middle of the crater.
People could not tell if what occurred was deliberate, they could not even imagine how a child could accomplish such a terrible feat. They clung to the belief of the intense clashing between the villains and the heroes as the true source of the devastation the park befell, yet the only life remaining in that bloody artwork was a lone child with her clothes intact, clean and free from wrinkles, completely untouched.
Not long, the stench of blood filled the air. The mangled flesh and the frightful extent of destruction began to blur their vision; the unimaginable power displayed crippled their mind and body with raw fear.
A slender tall man wearing a pair of yellow goggles was one among the ranks of Pro Heroes. He arrived at the scene together with a couple of heroes to aid the Police Force in engaging and capturing the reported villains wreaking havoc at the park but instead, the nightmarish scene of death and pure destruction greeted them. He was - no, all of them were paralyzed by both shock and terror, their mind frozen, their resolve tested. They all heard the cold whispers of self-preservation, compelling them into action, dictating they suppress her, demanding they quickly destroy her - kill her.
Their trance was shattered when the Symbol of Peace had finally arrived at the scene. With his usual announcement of 'I am here', All Might, with that big, wide smile on his face had lunged forward with his left fist ready to punch its enemy. Perhaps he just charged in on instinct, and it was all too late to cease his 'smash' despite noticing the identity of his opponent.
However, something unexpected occurred. There was no warning, no build-up, everything was all too sudden.
They thought they saw the devil, and they did.
=/=
When Midnight pushed Eraser Head to become a teacher, he told her it was simply irrational. As he was accepted into U.A. High Academy to teach, there was no doubt in his mind he would come to dislike it. Being close to children wasn't something he planned on getting used to, at least not after 'that' incident.
"She's only seven."
"All the more reason to take care of her, don't you think?"
The anthropomorphic mink wearing an elegant suit was U.A. High Academy's Principal. In short, Shota Aizawa's superior when it came to teaching in the institution. He's highly intelligent and with that alone anyone could grasp how much faith the Police Force had in his decisions, Pro Heroes such as himself included.
In that spacious room they called the Principal's Office, three men were having a conversation regarding the fate and future of the dubbed 'devil'.
"You're asking me to teach while supervising a child with a destructive quirk." Aizawa stated, although it sounded more like a question rather than a statement.
"I think this will be good for the child, to be exposed to other people. Because the students here can freely use their quirk during classes and training, she won't feel out of place. In this way, she'll be encouraged to control her quirk so she could make contact with other kids."
"What do you think will happen if she accidentally hurts any of the students?"
"I know you're capable enough not to let this happen."
"That's irresponsible coming from you."
Principal Nezu was silent for a moment, his button-like eyes fixed on Aizawa's droopy pair. "You are the only one capable of controlling her quirk and the only person able to touch her with no repercussions, Eraser Head."
Aizawa knew, there was no need to spell it out. It was mainly the reason why the Police Force specifically requested for his assistance that day. Although All Might was able to hurt her ultimately rendering her unconscious, none of them could ever get close to her without getting their arms broken.
"The only reason my arm's not broken is because the force of her quirk is not strong enough to contend against my own power."
The skinny man with spiky blond, disheveled hair standing beside Principal Nezu was Toshinori Yagi, the hero All Might. He only showed his true form among the people he trusted most, and apparently, both the Principal and Shota Aizawa were included.
"I knew my fist didn't connect but it seemed its force was strong enough to break through whatever barrier she had." All Might raised his left arm and stared at his open palm. "I didn't mean to hurt her though. She's only a child."
"But you can touch her."
All Might looked pointedly at him. "Only if I use brute force."
"To be honest, this is quite a predicament." Principal Nezu joined the conversation. "Normally, a person's quirk is inactive unless the user wills to use it and we expect the quirk to deactivate once the user is unconscious. However, in her case, it remains active. No one can get close to her, let alone aid her. Recovery Girl can't even heal her until you erased the child's quirk, mister Aizawa."
Aizawa closed his eyes in resignation. Although reluctant, he decided to accept his role as the guardian of the devil. There was no way around it, after all there was only him able to antagonize all quirks, no exceptions. However, he figured it was bound to become tiresome for it was advised to use his quirk on her at least three times a day as therapy in the hopes of her learning how to control her quirk and turn it off herself.
Besides, he knew there was another reason for this arrangement.
"We really have to stop calling her devil." Aizawa stated as he began to scratch the back of his head. "Seven is an old enough age to be able to tell right apart from wrong. We all know she has a propensity for villainy, we shouldn't add fuel to the fire."
Both All Might and the Principal exchanged glances.
It was Detective Naomasa Tsukauchi who dubbed the child as such. He was present that day, and he had the privilege to witness the whole incident in the front row seat. He saw it clearly, and it seemed it had shaken his soul to the point of calling the child a devil.
Most of the witnesses on that day wholeheartedly agreed, the hero Eraser Head included.
The next day was the dreaded day of Aizawa's meeting with the devil. Accompanying him was a tall man with short black hair and a pair of dark eyes. He was Detective Naomasa Tsukauchi, a member of the police force.
As the two made their way to the hospital where the devil was confined, Aizawa read the papers contaning information regarding the said child.
It was the fruit of the police's investigation.
Gathering intelligence about the devil wasn't hard. In fact, it went smoothly it was scary.
The Karino family.
Their relatives weren't particularly hard to contact, and they willingly shared what they knew of the family. However, their relationship seemed sour, instantly refusing the idea of taking in the Karinos' daughter. Although the situation went favorably for the police force since they had already decided to keep her under their watch, they still felt a bit bad for the child. As if it wasn't tragic enough to lose both her parents, she was even despised by her relatives.
Their neighbors, customers, clients and friends seemed to have good relations with the family. Even the child's school thought highly of the Karinos and their child. The difference in the family's relationship between their blood relatives and their neighbors was a curious thing, but it hardly counted as important in their investigations so they didn't dig deeper.
According to the records, she lived a normal life in Musutufu city and entered a decent primary school. Her family consisted of her mother and father, and she was an only child. Both her parents had quirks; her mother had a quirk related to psychokinesis while her father had a quirk related to magnetism. Both worked pretty eccentric jobs in Aizawa's opinion: the mother a florist and the father a mortician. Decent and respectable nonetheless.
In their time and age, Aizawa wondered why the couple didn't pursue heroics with such useful quirks. Just reading how their quirks worked made Aizawa a little excited as he imagined what he could do to improve them and what they could accomplish with them.
To continue on, the record said that the devil's quirk manifested at the age of six.
Pretty late, in Aizawa's opinion.
It said the quirk was psychokinesis-related, to which she was able to move both organic and inorganic things to any direction she desired with a touch. Reminiscing the incident, Aizawa was certain the information on the devil's quirk was incorrect.
"Is this all the information you can get, Tsukauchi?"
"Yes. It seemed she previously lived a normal life." the man paused for a moment before continuing, "At least until that day came."
The police force didn't completely trust the data they collected, especially the part about the Karinos' daughter. However, there was not much to go on further so they settled with what they got. Besides, they had the authority over the Karinos' daughter. They could fill the gaps of their information from her.
"He heavily stressed that we keep her away from villains at all costs." Tsukauchi stated with finality in his voice.
The detective also revealed that the Commissioner General himself proposed the idea of having him supervise the devil and that Principal Nezu was informed to do his part to train her and make her a hero if possible.
"If she's going to be a hero, she'll have to fight villains."
"That's true, but I think what the General meant to say is we can't let her be taken by villains, especially at this stage. She'll easily accept their invitation and join their side. I'm certain of it."
"And she's going to be one hell of an enemy if that ever happens." Aizawa sighed.
It wasn't going to be easy. The power her quirk displayed was simply insane. Certainly, any ordinary prison cell wouldn't be sufficient to contain her. Cuffing her hands and feet wouldn't work either, no matter the weight of the chains they wrapped around her - only destruction awaited these locations and objects.
Thinking rationally, Aizawa judged it best to simply dispose of her.
Options presented would be: one and the best option available, imprison her in Tartarus, a prison far away from civilization, boasting the highest security standards possible; two and possibly the worst choice was to straight up kill her. Killing wasn't very hero-like so Aizawa preferred the former.
Besides, if they decided to end her, there was only one person who could accomplish it with a hundred percent guarantee.
There was no denying it was part of the job. No matter the title, none of them could plainly say they were clean. Villains were still human beings, and being mortals meant there were times when death was unavoidable. Of course, if they can, they'd like to avoid the worst outcome. However, not all villains were as amenable, and there were powerful villains whose blood had to spill at the encounter.
In the end, killing was killing no matter the person, criminal or not.
After half an hour of travel, the duo had finally reached the hospital. As soon as they entered the room where the devil was confined, they were greeted by the nurse who seemed to have had a pleasant chat with her.
"Oh, Sir Eraser Head and Officer Tsukauchi! Good to see you today!"
"Yes, thank you. How is she doing?"
"She's doing fine now. She's even being talkative. It's quite a relief, really." the nurse turned back to the child and called, "Anya, sweetie? Mister Tsukauchi and the hero Eraser Head is here to see you."
With a slight tilt of her head, she stared at them, almost as if scrutinizing them from head to toe. Drawing a small smile, she finally addressed them, "Thanks for visiting me today, misters."
Thinking back to the records, Aizawa was intrigued with the discrepancies between her description and pictures from their database and her actual appearance at that moment. Her skin was no longer brown but pale white as snow, her hair was no longer dark, its shade now silver and her eyes were no longer gold, but a hue of pale pink.
She looked like a person with albinism.
"Good morning, Anya. Will it be all right to speak with you today?" Tsukauchi offered a smile.
"Yes, of course."
"Then I'll be taking my leave." the nurse stated as she bowed her head to excuse herself, and for a moment she made a swift twirl to wave goodbye at her patient to which the child responded with a quick wave as well.
As soon as the door closed and they were left alone, the devil had spoken to them in a manner of solemnity and seriousness, "I know why you're here."
Both adults flinched. It was unexpected. It was shocking. The child spoke in monotone, her tone moderate and her expression solemn. She had folded her hands over her lap and fixed her gaze at them.
"For the record though, I did not mean it."
Tsukauchi instantly understood what she meant. He easily regained his composure and proceeded to approach her, carefully assessing the distance between them.
"We never said you did." he told her as he removed his hat and took a seat by her bed.
Silence took over for a moment. Her eyes remained fixed on the raven-haired detective. A heavy atmosphere was starting to form, both men could feel it, and as if a reflex, Aizawa had grabbed his scarf and prepared to activate his quirk.
Anya Karino, the child dubbed as the devil, seemed to have noticed Eraser Head's vigilance towards her and switched her attention to him. That small gesture of hers seemed to have dragged Aizawa back to his senses, making him loosen his grip over his scarf and calm himself down.
"...Sorry about that." he reluctantly told the child.
"No, it's okay. After all, you should be wary of me."
"What do you mean?"
She looked at him and then at the detective. "My quirk changed. I'm not sure when. Actually, I think I just didn't understand the true nature of my quirk." she explained, half-exasperated, half-chastened. "It just does things that I don't understand. And on that day, mama and papa decided we should go out to relax. They thought my quirk acting up was the result of stress. Unfortunately, villains attacked and-" she was shaking both in anger and frustration. "I swear I didn't mean it! I just wanted to protect them!"
"No one's blaming you, or anyone for that matter."
"Because I'm the only survivor!" she shouted, her anger more evident this time. "How can the dead be blamed, huh?!"
"Anya, calm down. We understand it was an accident, but what happened is already done. There's nothing more you can do but accept that and learn from it."
The girl turned away from the detective. Both hands found their way to her face, effectively covering whatever expression she was wearing. "I said I wanted to protect them but look what happened… I…killed…" her hands gradually turned into fists, her body visibly trembling. "It's a crime, right? And people who do them are called criminals, right? Criminals must be punished, right? They are thrown to prison, right? They are punished, right?"
They were bombarded with questions she forcibly hissed in between gritted teeth. Her voice was brittle yet it didn't seem like she was going to shed tears in any moment. She abruptly lifted her head and swiveled her gaze at Eraser Head. Her eyes were filled with rage. She looked straight at him as if impatiently searching for the answers to the questions she laid.
"All Might hurt me because I was bad. Are you going to hurt me too?"
Tsukauchi turned to look at Aizawa with the expression almost telling him to pick his words ever carefully, yet before he could even speak his mind, he saw the slightest change in the girl's expression.
"...I'm going to fight back if you are."
There was a discernible animosity and malice in the way she spoke those words. It prickled his skin and sent shivers down his spine that he instantly used his quirk on her in alarm.
Tsukauchi seemed to have felt the same. He hopped onto his feet and immediately assumed a defensive stance the instant he heard her speak.
"If you think for a second you stand a chance against a Pro Hero, then you're not very rational."
Aizawa's eyes flashed red, his hair flared up and in a second his scarf was wrapped around the child's body.
The moment Anya was caught by Aizawa's scarf, her anger was immediately replaced by confusion. With the slightest squeeze, shooting pain coursed through her body and it morphed her face into a cycle of shock, bewilderment and agony.
"Anya, let me introduce you." Tsukauchi interrupted. "This man here is the Pro Hero Eraser Head. His quirk gives him the ability to nullify anyone's quirk by merely looking at them."
Anya looked pleasantly surprised. For a second, she looked delighted but continuously scrunched up her face in discomfort as response to the intermittent squeezing of the bindings around her body.
"You're just an overconfident kid with a powerful quirk. Don't think you can threaten adults and get away with it. This world isn't all games and fairy tales."
"Then…" Anya managed as she bit back a groan. "Please make it permanent. Erase this quirk for good."
Piqued, Aizawa released her, and in turn, the girl evidently looked relieved. He allowed himself to blink. Closing his eyes a few seconds longer, he fished out a small green case of eye drops from his pocket. As he applied the eye drops over each of his eyes, he inquired about the meaning behind her words.
"I'm sure you can tell, I have no control over this power." Anya began. "At first we thought this was some form of psychokinesis because it allowed me to move an object to any direction I desired with just one touch. However, there was this instance where a ball was thrown towards me. I knew I didn't use my quirk. It was too late before I noticed the ball about to hit me but it suddenly bounced away from me. It was so strange because I have to touch the object to manifest my quirk. That ball didn't touch me." she had this worried look in her eyes as she told them a story from a time when she thought she had complete control over her quirk.
"You're saying your quirk has evolved into some sort of barrier." Aizawa concluded.
"That's what I thought too! I thought maybe it's a barrier now, but…" Anya paused. She looked like she was contemplating something, and her eyes gradually turned glassy the longer she remained silent.
"What is it, kid?" Aizawa asked softly in an attempt to lift off whatever saddening, heavy thoughts her mind conjured.
"Please mister! I don't want this quirk anymore! I just want to be normal!"
Both men were taken aback by the child's sudden outburst. She wasn't crying, no, but she had a desperate look in her eyes
Anya suddenly got off the bed and sunk down to the floor on her hands and knees. With her head also touching the ground, she pleaded:
"Please, mister, if you can, please relieve me of this curse. I beg you."
They thought they saw the devil that fateful morning, however, they met a human instead.
A/N: Gahd! What am I doing?! Why did I decide to branch off to another series while leaving that one and only fic I was so serious about?!
Obviously, My Hero Academia is hype! I can't really resist since I'm such a damn loser. That is all. Thank you very much for your time!
