Charlie and Sarah
He wishes he could turn back time. Lock his gun up properly, remove the clip, even double-check the safety. Keep Sarah from leaving. He knows if Charlie had lived things would be different. Maybe he would have stayed retired. Maybe he and Sarah would have broken up eventually. Maybe not. He only knows Charlie would be in high school if he had lived. Probably on the baseball team—he loved baseball—and hockey in the winter.
Then Daniel comes home, with his sparkling eyes and ready smile, and Jack manages to forget for a while that he wishes he could turn back time.
