Beca Mitchell had many hidden talents that randomly appeared and continued to shock her wife, Chloe Beale. It wasn't a surprise that Beca was musically inclined, but it was a surprise when she serenaded Chloe with a harmonica for their 2 year anniversary. It was also a surprise that Beca could do a Rubik's cube under a minute blind folded, or that time Chloe found out that Beca could throw knives. While Chloe loved seeing what new talents the badass would show, one of her favorites was that Beca could rap like it was nobody's business.
This hidden talents was discovered during the first riff off Beca was part of. The moment that Beca's voice filled the empty pool rapping No Diggity, Chloe's heart pretty much stopped. Since then Chloe has heard Beca rap anything from Drake to Eminem, and even then Chloe's heart never fails to stutter a little bit. Even though Beca's rap skills are pretty close to perfection in Chloe's eyes, there is one particular thing that makes her fall in love with Beca more and more each day. That thing is the fact that Beca is amazing with children. Yes, the big badass with the heavy eyeliner and ear monstrosities is one big softy at heart. She found this out one day when they were strolling the park waiting to meet up with Stacey and Aubrey.
It was a nice fall day as Beca and Chloe strolled through the park trying to find something to do for the next 15 minutes while they wait. All of a sudden a crying child came up to them asking if they had seen a woman with brown hair and green eyes who was apparently the girls mom.
"Hey there," Beca said, "would you like our help finding your mom?"
The young girl vigorously nodded her head. The next half hour was spent with Chloe and Beca searching the park for the girls mom. Chloe couldn't help but notice the smaller girls ability to calm the young child. Once they had found the girls mom and parted ways Chloe decided to bring it up.
"Hey Becs," Chloe cautiously said.
"Yeah," Beca responded not really paying attention.
"I couldn't really help but notice that you were really great with that little girl," Chloe said.
"Oh yeah," Beca said, "I grew up taking care of kids since my mom was the owner of a daycare." And with that the topic was dropped.
So that's why when Chloe arrives home after work she really shouldn't be surprised by the scene playing out in front of her. Beca is dancing around the kitchen in one of Chloe's Barden hoodies and a pair of sweatpants rapping Alphabet Aerobics into a spatula microphone while Emily, their 3 year old daughter, sits and laughs. Chloe can't help but swoon at the adorableness of the two loves of her life.
"Mommy!" Emily yells in between her giggles.
"Hey there bug, and hello to you too babe," Chloe says walking into the kitchen to kiss her daughter on the cheek then doing the same to her wife.
"Hey, how was your day?" Beca asked with a slight blush at being caught.
"A whole lot better now that I'm home," Chloe said, "I love you so much Beca Beale-Mitchell."
"I love you too, Chloe Beale-Mitchell," Beca responded with a face splitting grin.
In the 10 years of knowing Beca, Chloe knows she will always be surprised by the little things Beca does, and that makes Chloe love her more and more each day.
